Maut ka saaya – Part 2

Father in his lockup, thinks whatever happened and his conversation with KD.
Court session begins and KD questions the prosecutor regarding the face drawn on Susan’s hand. The prosecutor had no reply to his query. Father declares he doesn’t want more arguments and admits Susan would have been alive with the medical treatment, he’s her killer. Prosecutor goes near him and utters they never said he did this intentionally. He did a mistake and will get punishment in this world only.
KD clarifies he has nothing to say. The judge gives his decision and father gets 2 years of imprisonment.
He puts on cloths wore by prisoners and KD comes there. Father admits he took the blame as he doesn’t want someone else lose his life like Susan. He further declares this is his punishment given by god as the evil spirit defeated him twice.
In KD’s office, Varun says he had doubt on this case since the beginning. He starts discussing regarding flies and all. KD tells him that there are many reasons for flies to enter a place and he’s sure it’s a human pet scheme. He doubts Adnes as she remained with Susan usually and then spots an umbrella.
Adnes is feeding Joan soup. She refuses to take it more and sleeps. Joan is sleeping when suddenly she wakes up and spots red eyes. Everything happens in the same manner like it turned out to be for Susan. Mrs. D’sa enters and Joan holds her tight. Adnes too enters and tells her to sell the house. Mrs. D’sa disagrees and says where they will go.
Adnes comes downstairs and calls someone. There’s a knock on the door, she opens and identifies the person.
KD spots the umbrella and concludes it’s of Adnes. He asks Varun to meet Adnes with an excuse of returning her umbrella.
Varun arrives at the mansion, door is open. He gets in and calls Adnes. Mrs. D’sa comes and Adnes is nowhere to be found. Varun hands the umbrella to her and says Adnes came to meet KD and narrated the story of Michael Crysto. He leaves the mansion and stops somewhere hearing Adnes’s voice. He gets in the jungle type area and witnesses Adnes dead with a wood used as the murder weapon. There was text visible on the wood and it indicated next turn is of Joan.
KD tells father about Adnes’s murder and requests him for the permission to reopen this case. Father rejects and declares they need god’s support to fight the devil. He tells KD about another father.
A father is in Joan’s room doing something for devils. Dr. Pinto checks Joan and Vivek offers to drop him. KD and Varun too, are present there. Someone rings the doorbell and it’s Mr. Nehra, their neighbor. Mrs. D’sa asks if he brought the agreement papers. KD comes downstairs and Mrs. D’sa tells him she’s selling the house as she and Joan don’t want to stay here anymore. Suddenly, Varun calls KD and he rushes upstairs. There were flies near Joan’s window. KD rubs the outer side of window using his handkerchief and takes in the smell. He asks Varun to take the handkerchief to forensics.
He meets Father and requests him for the permission to reopen the case. Father agrees this time.
In the D’sa mansion, KD talks to Mrs. D’sa and states there’s a human behind whatever happened and asks her permission to let him and Varun stay at night. Mrs. D’sa agrees and KD explains her something. The clock strikes 3 and Joan wakes up. She feels something is burning and suddenly the devil voice breaks the silence. KD asks Varun to go outside and check the window while he rushes upstairs.
He enters Joan’s room and signals her. Joan questions the spirit and KD hastily takes away the bed sheet. He gets beneath the bed and gets hurt on head.
Varun rushes towards the window and spots Nehra there. Nehra is stunned to see him and says he thought any thief was here. Varun calls KD and informs him that the person escaped due to Nehra.
KD sits on the bed with a black colored machine he discovered under the bed. He shows the red lights fixed that was assumed as devil’s eyes and speaker, microphone attached. Joan and her mother are dumbfounded.
In the court, KD shows the machine and reveals the truth behind red eyes and voices. He further says that the heating of wires caused the smell of something burning. Father is amazed and he says the spirit talked to him from inside Susan’s body. KD tells him that the machine was placed near Susan’s pillows at that time. Father again asks about the 3:00 PM schedule and KD tells him someone used to set the alarm.
KD then exposes that he got a clue from an ant. He spotted an ant along with flies on Joan’s window and so wiped that using his handkerchief. After the forensic test he got to know that a solution of alcohol and honey was sprayed on the window that attracted flies and ants. Father utters that the same thing happened with KD even. KD says this can be explained by the person who is behind all this.
He states the wood used to kill Adnes had text on it and that was written clearly using a scalpel. He doubted Adnes but after her death one person can do this, Dr. Pinto. Dr. Pinto comes in the witness box and blames Priyal. He reveals Nehra told him about Priyal so he can explain it better.
Nehra comes in the witness box and confirms he told Pinto about Priyal. He discloses that she often met a Tantrik Baba. KD questions how he knows this, does he visit Baba too? Nehra tells him he doesn’t but his sister believes him. KD says he’s the one in profit as he’s getting the mansion in half price.
Priyal is called in the witness box. She defends her and says she went to Baba but for Susan’s welfare. KD asks what her relation with Vivek is. Priyal at first says he’s her friend but later admits she liked him. KD shows an ear ring of her that Varun spotted outside the mansion. Priyal tells him she had given this one to Joan so someone might have stolen from her room. She then names Vivek and reveals he was the last one to meet Adnes the night she got murdered.
Vivek reveals he was passing through the way and rang the bell to meet Joan. Adnes told him she’s sleeping and hence he went away. He spotted her going outside and moving towards the jungle. Soon after, he heard her utter something in Konkani and saw her dead. KD asks why he didn’t reveal this earlier. Vivek tells him he got scared thinking that the evil spirit has killed Adnes and will kill him even. KD asks did he see anyone there and Vivek rejects. He thinks about Konkani language and calls Mrs. D’sa.
She reveals that she isn’t good in that language and Adnes talked to Pinto in Konkani. Suddenly, she stands still and sees zombies in the faces of KD, Pinto, Vivek and all. She screams seeing the present scenario and Dr. Pinto takes her back to seat. She calms down and tells KD she saw devils in court. KD asks if she ate any medicine. Mrs. D’sa says Dr. Pinto gave her an injection in the morning as she had fever yesterday night.
Pinto is in the witness box. KD doubts he mixed something in the injection but Pinto denies. KD then claims he entered his office, injected a medicine and broke the CC TV camera. Pinto rejects he did anything like this to KD. KD continues his claim and shows him a CD that had the entire recording, according to him. He moves forward to play the CD and Pinto stops him. KD makes him accept he made the entire plan.
Soon after the moment, he reveals that the CD has some tracks of Kishore Kumar and hands it to him. He further speaks he didn’t break his camera as there’s no camera in his office.
Pinto confesses Michael was his grandfather, he handed the house to D’sa. He couldn’t do anything legally and therefore made this plan. One day Susan came to his clinic as she had fever, he injected a drug that disturbed her mental state. He then forced Adnes to narrate the story of Michael to KD; she dropped something in his tea that made him go unconscious. At night he entered and injected the drug. Later Adnes felt guilty and decided to reveal everything to Mrs. D’sa, so he killed her. Pinto then says Susan got killed by mistake as her body was weak and he gave an overdose of that drug.
Dr. Pinto is arrested and Father Vas gets free. Prosecutor says sorry to him and father thanks KD.
