Theatre mein khoon

Episode opens with a girl being shown running for her life in an area lacking any population. She runs till a certain distance and then she’s stabbed by someone through a knife. The entire scenario is exposed to be a movie whose preview is in progress in a theatre. The actress Sweety is sitting with her boyfriend Gajendra who seems to be horrified over the fact that she isn’t given much space in the movie and the producer lied to her. Sweety asks him to calm down.

The producer Pawan Srivastava is seated at the back. The film director Kamlesh and his assistant are observing him. Apart from these people a few more men are seated and one of them is Khan, who works under Pawan. Intermission takes place and just after lights are switched on, Gajendra starts screaming at Pawan and moves towards him angrily. He’s caught and Pawan orders his men to drag him outside.

Sweety expresses her disbelief in what Gajendra did and admits she may not get any offers in the future. After sometimes she moves inside and Gajendra sits there itself. The counter guy notices him and calls someone.

The movie is continued inside the theatre and someone enters. Director Kamlesh and his assistant witness the person and suddenly lights are on. Gajendra is spotted behind Pawan with a syringe in his hand and Pawan is dead.

KD tells Varun that a beautiful case has approached towards them and signals towards the door. Varun fails to conclude anything and KD asks the person to come in. Sweety enters and KD blinks his eye looking at Varun. Sweety requests KD to fight Gajendra’s case. KD doubts his innocence and Sweety asks him to meet him once. KD agrees, Varun asks him how he got to know Sweety is outside. KD tells him that all the lawyers have refused to rescue Gajendra, as per the newspaper so he was the last option.

KD meets Gajendra in the lockup. He tells KD that he went to say sorry just for Sweety. As soon as he touched his shoulder, he felt something stuck and took the syringe out. The lights got switched on right after the moment. He then tells KD he hates violence.

In the court, Bharat narrates the incident from the beginning and accuses Gajendra. He further declares that since Gajendra is a chemist, he’s aware of the fact that what amount of poison can kill a person. KD questions if Gajendra’s intention was this, why he grabbed attention of the men seated there earlier by screaming at Pawan? Bharat states this must be known by him and his client. KD claims that Gajendra didn’t purchase any syringe and poison from the nearby medical stores and at that moment he was ejecting the syringe.

Director Kamlesh is in the witness box. KD asks did he witness someone enter after the intermission. Kamlesh and Khan reply that they didn’t see anyone except Gajendra. A man enters and hands over an envelope to Bharat. Bharat reveals that as per police records, Gajendra was sent to reform house at the age of 14 as he fought with his school boys and broke their heads. KD stares at Gajendra and recalls his statement regarding violence. The clock strikes 5.

In the lockup, KD angrily questions Gajendra regarding the incident revealed in the court. Gajendra tells him that was his mistake and he does hate violence in real. KD inquires if there’s something else he doesn’t know and Gajendra replies there’s nothing like this.

In his office, KD observes the seats of the men inside the theatre. A man enters and places tea for him and Varun. KD notices the glasses and something strikes his mind. He asks Varun if someone entered the office since morning. Varun replies nobody entered KD questions that who brought these glasses then. Varun says the tea seller brought them and suddenly realizes he didn’t observe him earlier. KD concludes that the same thing happened inside the theatre.

In the court KD calls the theatre employee, Sunil in the witness box. Sunil tells him he didn’t go inside the theatre that day. Next to come is the director. KD asks if he spotted Sunil inside the theatre. Kamlesh tells him he didn’t notice as he was nervous. Khan too repeats Kamlesh’s reply and rejects he saw Sunil inside. Kamlesh’s assistant says he saw a man inside the theatre, in the same uniform. KD asks him where the man went. The assistant replies he went back side perhaps.

Sunil is called again and he rejects he went inside the theatre. KD asks him how many men are on this duty. Sunil answers he and one more man are there but he was on leave that day. KD asks what he was doing outside if he didn’t enter the theatre; Sunil tells him he was talking to Meena, his girlfriend.

KD wonders whom the assistant spotted. Bharat claims he spotted nobody and must have misunderstood. KD calls the watchman in the witness box and asks his name. The watchman replies his name is,”Duryodhan Prasad Sahab”. KD asks did someone enter the theatre after intermission. He replies that a man entered and parked his car outside. When he asked him to get his car in, he uttered, “Shut up” and went away. KD asks if he saw him coming out. Watchman replies he went to drink tea and hence didn’t notice. KD questions how the man looked and watchman replies just like them all, human being. KD further questions regarding his height, shirt color and watchman replies the same. KD then asks is someone wearing the same color in the court. Watchman tells him all are wearing the same color. KD concludes he’s color blind.

Bharat objects and claims watchman isn’t someone to be trusted in this case. Varun enters and hands over a paper to KD. KD calls Khan in the witness box and inquires regarding his second cell phone. Khan tells him his phone was stolen two months ago and since then he didn’t bother. KD asks where his phone was stolen. Khan replies it got stolen during shooting. Bharat objects states this point is useless for case. KD asks the judge for a two hour break and claims he’ll prove the relation between phone and this case.

Varun comes to KD with a man Dhawal, who worked in Pawan’s office. Dhawal reveals that Pawan’s wife doubted him always and checked his phone bills. She even paid him to keep an eye on Pawan. KD doubts that Khan’s phone was with Pawan. He asks Varun to check Pawan’s office.

Varun enters the building with Dhawal and checks. He spots something stuck in the table and removes that. A mobile phone was fixed under that.

In the court, KD shows the phone to Khan and asks whether he saw this before. Khan reveals that Pawan used this number registered on his name and he never saw this phone once after he took it. KD reveals that just one number is called several times in past two months and the number is of Surbhi Saxena. KD asks Khan about her, Khan recalls and says she worked in Pawan’s movie as the second heroin and recently met him a few days ago.

Surbhi is called in the court. She appears in the witness box. KD discloses the fact that Pawan called her around five times a day and their conversation ended after hours. Surbhi reveals that they were to marry each other in a few days. KD questions how come they were marrying just after two months of meeting. Surbhi tells him they were to marry years ago but her husband forced her to leave Mumbai and films. Her husband died recently and when she came back, they decided to marry.

She reveals about her son Bhushan, KD asks doesn’t he object on their marriage. She tells him he doesn’t. KD then inquires what he does and she tells him he’s a social worker and is associated with blood donation camps.

Scene shifts to a guy getting out of his car and Varun follows him. The guy is actually Bhushan and Varun reports his movements to KD. Bhushan arrives at a blood donation camp and Varun follows him till there. He calls KD who arrives there soon.

He signals Varun and gets inside the camp. Varun checks his car and finds a blue uniform. KD approaches towards Bhushan and names Pawan. Bhushan’s expressions change suddenly and he rushes outside where Varun blocks his way.

In the court, KD claims that Pawan was waiting for someone on the back seat and the person was Bhushan. He doubted Bhushan as he was associated with blood donation camps and was aware of medicines. So he decided to chase him. KD then shows the blue uniform and claims that Bhushan went in wearing the uniform. Bharat states someone else may have kept that inside his car, to trap him. KD calls the watchman and asks is the man present in the court whom he spotted that day. Watchman signals towards Bhushan.

Bhushan confesses he killed Pawan. He cheated his mother years ago and now when he needed her again, he was all set to marry her. He never let her mother feel that he has problem with this relation. He entered the theatre and injected the syringe.

He’s arrested and Gajendra is proved innocent.
