Indradhanush qatil – Part 1

Episode opens with the scene of an auditorium where an actor Raju Chaurasiya is performing dialogues of Amitabh Bachchan copying his style. Suddenly, he hears a voice of something hitting the floor and turns around to see another actor Samar Tripathi down on the floor. He spots someone but the person disappears. A few men associated with the show arrive and declare Samar dead. Raju had a blood strained hammer in his hand and producer notices that. Raju comes out of his current character and acts like Gabbar Singh. In his current form, he blames Raju Chaurasiya and asks them to catch him.
Dave takes Raju inside the lockup and there he acts like an old man. After completing a sentence, he laughs in a weird and hilarious manner and says Raju ran away and trapped him. He asks Dave to bring water as he has to keep his teeth. Dave gets irritated and leaves.
KD watches Raju perform and a man associated with Raju is with him. KD concludes Raju has multiple personality disorder. He asks the man why Raju was thrown out of the play. The man replies that Raju used to act like seven characters and the original one got lost in those seven forms. His mental state got disturbed and hence he was thrown out. KD tells him that court will doubt Raju for this murder. The man requests him to defend Raju as a person like him can never kill anyone, he has known him from past twenty years.
KD goes to the lockup to meet Raju with Dave. Raju acts like a lady and tells them that her husband isn’t at home so someone handsome with muscles like KD can’t enter. KD gets confused and asks her regarding the case her husband is trapped in. Raju as the lady replies that Raju must have killed the man, they saw him. KD further inquires who saw them and Raju reforms into Gajodhar. He wonders what KD is doing here. KD inquires him and Raju as Gajodhar, reveals that he went to the producer that day.
Flashback –
The producer declares he can’t take Raju in his play while Raju is pleading. Suddenly, someone calls and make threats to him. He tells the person to do whatever he wants and he’ll see him.
Gajodhar then offers tea to KD, KD leaves with Dave while he continues to speak.
In the court, case hasn’t begun yet and KD tells Varun he feels like he’s fighting the case of seven men. Raju comes at the place and holds KD’s leg pleading him to defend him. He utters KD came to meet him but he wasn’t there so he met someone else and went away. He assures KD that he’s innocent and is Raju Chaurasiya. He further reveals that he’s taking tablets and so men inside him won’t come out.
Jaisawal begins narrating the case and utters Samar’s dead body was found in the empty auditorium. His head was hit with a hammer that has Raju’s fingerprints. He screams aloud with his same old ten minute concept and claims KD will lose.
Raju utters he wants to say something. Jaisawal asks who’s speaking and shows Raju’s medical files to the judge. Raju assures he’s the original and is taking tablets nowadays. He further reveals he went to talk to Samar as he was thrown out of the play because of him.
Flashback –
Samar is rehearsing and Raju comes there. He doesn’t find Samar’s acting perfect and shows him how to act like the men whom he’s copying. He then acts like Amitabh and pushes Samar back.
Jaisawal asks what happened further. Raju utters Amitabh Bachchan came so he must be aware of what happened. He gained his senses when policemen took him, he thought they will drop him home but they didn’t stop even after 10 kilometers and he realized he’s arrested. He then swears he didn’t kill Samar.
KD goes up to Raju. He reminds Raju that he told someone had threatened the producer on phone when he went to meet him. Raju utters that Gajodhar had said so. KD asks him to bring Gajodhar out and Raju says he’ll have to stop eating medicine then. If he eats, KD has problem and if he doesn’t, he has problem.
Producer Jageer Malhotra is called in the witness box. At first he denies he had been threatened. KD reveals that Samar had talked to him twenty minutes before his death, through his phone records. He shows him a message from send to him from Samar’s phone – “Increase my amount else I’ll send the photo”. KD browses and finds out a photo of Jageer and the actress of his play, Ishika.
Jageer finally accepts Samar had threatened him that he’ll send this photo to his wife. He then declares it’s personal and he doesn’t want to discuss it. Jaisawal asks him where was he when Samar got killed. Jageer says he was in bathroom. Jaisawal shows a diagram of the hall to KD and utters dimensions of the stage is 40 and 25 feet respectively. He points out the location of Samar and Raju and utters Samar was in the middle when the hammer hit his head; nobody was at his left and right. KD guesses someone may have hit him from the seats. Jaisawal says the auditorium was empty. He further claims Raju killed Samar due to his anger and forces him to admit his crime.
Raju’s original form changes once again. He utters he admitted as there’s nothing to waste their time. He starts speaking his dialogues and the judge asks KD what nonsense is this. KD tells him this is a character form of Raju, a lazy newsreader Dheeraj. Dheeraj continues and sings crazily as news can’t be narrated without music. He begins narrating news making no sense. After this, he starts informing all about weather with no exact information. KD finally interrupts and makes his news over. He asks him to answer his query to which he weirdly utters is that necessary. KD tells him he’ll to jail in case he doesn’t reply. KD inquires what he saw. Raju as Dheeraj, reveals something in a flashback –
Raju comes and sits near Arif in the auditorium. They talk regarding Raju’s place in the drama. Suddenly, someone hits hammer several times and Arif shouts to stop that.
KD asks Dheeraj who was hitting the hammer. Raju gets into another form yet again, this time Gabbar Singh. He starts screaming and the judge doesn’t get it. KD tells him his character is inspired from Gabbar Singh. Raju aka Gabbar screams and tells all to let him go, he didn’t kill Thakur and family. KD calms him down and asks who was holding the hammer. The clock strikes 5.
In his office, he and Varun discuss the case. KD wonders from where the hammer came and who threw that.
Varun arrives in the auditorium with Dave, at night. He shows Dave a hammer made of rubber whose weight was same as the murder weapon. He stands at Samar’s place and asks Dave to hit his head. Dave tries to hit him from three different positions but his aim doesn’t hit its destination i.e. Varun’s head. They spot someone at the door and rush. Varun finds a golden chain watch, of a lady. Dave chases the person till outside but fails to catch.
KD is with Raju who’s acting like Amitabh Bachchan. He gets irritated and asks did he see anything while speaking dialogues? Raju doesn’t take it seriously and starts singing “Govinda govinda”. KD again asks did he see anyone, man, woman! Raju tells him he saw, 3rd row – 5th seats. KD further inquires but Raju again changes, into a lady. He tries to get close to KD who quickly gets up making a face. He calls Varun and asks him to check the seat while Raju approaches towards him.
Varun checks the seat and gets a pen drive.
In the police station, KD, Dave and Varun check the pen drive. There were pictures of Ishika and director Arif. KD asks Dave to call them and inquire. Dave refuses to do so and excuses it isn’t related to the case. KD decides to take the pen drive from him when Dave stops him saying it’s a proof, he’ll give him a copy. KD leaves questioning will he give him a copy of the watch too!
Scene shifts to the auditorium where someone enters, she’s a lady.
Raju is in his lockup saying there’s no fridge or AC at this place. Suddenly, something strikes his mind and he starts screaming he recalled the person he saw and writes something on the wall.
