Adaalat 15th July 2012 Written Update

CID v/s Adaalat!

[This Adaalat episode is a continuation of CID’s episode, “CID viduddh Adaalat” aired on 14th July 2012.]

Episode opens with a short recap of what was shown in CID on 14/07/11. KD enters the CID bureau and states he’ll fight DCP’s case in the court, against CID and swears that truth will win like usual.
Scene shifts to a dark room where some bombs are being prepared.

Court session begins and Jaisawal starts saying that this time lion has challenged an elephant, addressing KD as the lion. He then moves towards DCP Shamsher Chitrole and says he rejected him when he wanted to join CID and now he’s happy to be a prosecutor. DCP then asks why he would kill his own men. KD tells him not to lose his cool as Jaisawal has a habit to entertain them like this.
Jaisawal calls Sr. Ins. Abhijeet in the witness box. Abhijeet begins explicates that an undercover cop Rohit was shot dead on 18th July, 2012 in “Blue moon bar”. The murderer took the bullet with him and CID discovered that in DCP’s house, blood strained. Jaisawal shows the reports related to that particular bullet. KD asks Abhijeet how deep was the strain produced by the bullet. Abhijeet guesses it was around half inch. KD wonders why there weren’t any traces of cement on the bullet and blood was there instead. Jaisawal says DCP must have cleared them and KD reminds him that blood traces would have been cleared then.

Scene shifts to a crowded place where a briefcase is placed and some sounds indicate there’s a bomb inside.

Scene shifts back to the courtroom where Abhijeet questions KD what does he mean. KD tells him that the bullet wasn’t fired by DCP in the bar. DCP admits he went there but has never fired using his gun except two or three times. Abhijeet doesn’t believe and utters he’ll have to pay for this, in anger.

Jaisawal calls his next witness, Julie. Julie says she saw DCP entering from the backdoor. DCP utters he himself accepted he went there. Julie then reveals she saw him with a gun.
Scene alters to Bandra market and a bomb is placed there too.

Jaisawal shows a gun packed in an evidence kit to Julie and asks whether she saw this gun. Julie confirms she saw that particular gun. DCP is stunned and asks how many fake witnesses have been hired against him. KD gets up to question Julie. He asks why didn’t she give this particular statement to the police before and revealed right in the court. Julie doesn’t give a satisfying reply and KD asks her to recall whether she saw DCP killing Rohit or else she may say this later. Jaisawal tells Abhijeet that KD is attacking him through Julie.
Jaisawal calls his next witness, Chhotu who’s a tea seller. He speaks against DCP and reveals that he made the entire plan to kill Rohit. He asked him to call and tell Rohit that DCP’s life is in danger.

Then a bomb is planted at “Kala Vidyayala School”.

DCP claims that Chhotu is lying and he was just wanted to know that who had informed him about danger to his life. Chhotu reveals that DCP tried to kill him even, but CID arrived at the right time.
KD asks Chhotu that is there someone else who knows regarding this matter. Chhotu speaks that DCP called him at his residence so nobody else knows.

Abhijeet is called again in the witness box. He questions why DCP didn’t call them after Dr. Salunke met him. Abhijeet then reveals that Salunke had got DCP’s hair on Rohit’s body and so he went to meet him at his residence where he got killed by him. DCP asks Abhijeet can he kill Salunke! Abhijeet claims he can and reveals he and Salunke had a heated clash once.
DCP in his defense says that he had asked Salunke to call CID. KD asks Abhijeet how CID got to know that Salunke is at DCP’s residence. Abhijeet replies that they had traced his phone and his car was parked outside DCP’s residence. KD reveals that the key was in the car itself and reverse gear was applied too. He further claims that its clear Salunke came out of his car, so why would DCP wait for him to go and start his car when he would have killed him inside.

At that moment another bomb is being placed near a mall.

Abhijeet vows it isn’t clear that Salunke had came out as usually people forget the keys there itself. Jaisawal acts silly and checks whether his key is with him. DCP in his defense says that he himself had appointed Rohit and he was behind a drug racket. So why would he kill him when they were so near the person.

Sr. Ins. Daya enters the court in anger, holding a man and dragging him in. He asks the judge to save a few queries for this man too. The man is DCP’s driver, Janardan. The judge asks Daya to calm down. Daya says sorry and questions how can he calm down as a part of their family, Dr. Salunke have been killed. Daya then swears if justice isn’t done in the court then he, he leaves his sentence incomplete and stares furiously at DCP who seems to be afraid of him. Abhijeet calls Daya’s name and he calms down.
Then the same room is shown where bombs are being prepared.

Janardan is in the witness box. He reveals that DCP asked all his security men including him to leave when Salunke arrived. He returned after two hours and then DCP asked him to bring an air bag, rope etc. as he had to dispose a dead body. Janardan further says he couldn’t refuse him and when he returned with those things, he saw CID at his residence and understood the matter. Being afraid of the entire situation, he ran away.

DCP is shocked at his statement and Jaisawal makes fun of him. He asks Jaisawal to meet him after this case is over. Jaisawal claims he won’t let him escape. He asks KD whether he wants to question Janardan. KD doesn’t reply and thinks something. The judge asks Janardan to get out of the witness box. Janardan moves towards DCP and touches his feet. He says sorry and admits he isn’t a part of his wrong deeds. Janardan then touches his palm and cries placing his hands head on DCP’s palm. A policeman takes Janardan away.

KD asks the judge to give them some time as a witness was roped in without letting the defense know. DCP tells KD that it isn’t needed any more and accepts his crime.

He further explains that Salunke found a proof against him and met him at his residence. They argued and Salunke asked him to do something for his defense as he’s going to inform ACP Praduman right now. Listening so, he hit Salunke with a vas placed on table. KD is stunned by his statement. Jaisawal asks why he killed Rohit. DCP reveals that Rohit wanted to come out of his undercover and this would have done damage to their mission. He tried hard to convince him but nothing worked out and so he had to kill him. DCP admits he’s a murderer and will accept whatever punishment is given to him. The clock strikes five and session is over. The judge informs them that he’ll give his decision in the next session.

KD states suspiciously at DCP and asks what he did. DCP clarifies he won’t talk about this matter and leaves.

KD is in his office. Varun goes through newspapers and tells him that he’s being attacked by the media. KD wonders what happened suddenly that DCP accepted his crime. He recalls that he had noticed black spot on DCP’s palm after his driver wept. He asks Varun to bring court’s CC TV camera footages.

DCP inquires a policeman sitting outside about time and checks his own watch then. He further asks is everything alright outside and the man replies that everything is alright.
Abhijeet is shown a bit disturbed in the CID bureau. ACP notices him and asks what the matter is. Daya too joins them. Abhijeet wonders how DCP accepted his crime suddenly. Daya says he accepted his crime after his driver came. Abhijeet doesn’t get convinced and there’s a small argument between him and Daya. ACP interrupts and raises the point that DCP himself accepted his crime.
DCP asks the same questions to the policeman and he replies it’s 7:00 PM and nothing did happen.

Back in the bureau, Daya claims now nobody can save DCP from being hanged till death. KD enters right after the moment saying that they can save him. Daya gets angry and addresses him as DCP’s savior, in low voice. KD moves towards him with a smile and says he too is the savior of truth like him, the truth that nobody saw in the court. ACP asks what he means and KD shows him a CD.
The CD is played and they notice the black spot on DCP’s palm. Daya concludes it’s an ink spot and the footage is replayed from a certain point. Janardan was shown weeping and when he was taken away; DCP wiped his palm that caused the spot. KD uses a marker and writes CID on ACP’s palm. He then writes “+KD” on his palm and presses that against ACP’s. The “+KD” gets printed on ACP’s palm. They wonder what Janardan would have printed on DCP’s hand. ACP asks Daya didn’t he see anything on Janardan’s hand as he took him to the court. Daya recalls that Janardan had gone to bathroom in the midst. KD tells them that he’ll talk to DCP regarding the message on his palm. Daya decides to handle Janardan.

KD meets DCP and asks about the message Janardan printed on his hand. DCP acts as if he doesn’t know anything and denies KD’s point.

CID Ins. Sachin is shown at Janardan’s residence. He calls KD and informs him that Janardan is missing. KD asks him to search him as it’s crucial for him to be in the court. Sachin finds a mobile phone chip and rest of the parts under the bed. Later he’s shown with a man who’s trying to fetch information regarding calls from the broken mobile phone.
Jaisawal in the court repeats his ten minute dialogue.

The man is successful in obtaining information regarding dialed numbers. He hands over the list on ten numbers to Sachin. Sachin tries the first nine and none of them get connected. The last one gets connected and a lady picks up the phone. Without knowing who the caller is, she tells him not to call her as she gave her statement against DCP in the court. Sachin understands she’s Julie.
In the court, the judge is about to give his decision when KD interrupts. He claims that there is information on the basis of which, he’ll have to change his decision.

Julie confesses she spoke lie in the court as someone had threatened her. Sachin doubts Janardan but she reveals it wasn’t Janardan who called her but someone else. She further says that some Bhojpuri songs were being played at that time. Sachin realizes it’s the tea guy Chhotu on her statement.

In the court, KD doubts that Salunke and Rohit got killed on someone else’s will and DCP is saving them. DCP wonders how KD can blame him being his defense lawyer. KD tells him that he accepted his crime and KD never supports criminals. He manages to convince Jaisawal who fails to understand KD’s real intentions and supports his points. KD shows DCP’s phone records and reveals that he talked seven times on a particular number that’s of London, in past ten days. DCP tells him that the number is of his brother.

KD guesses the number may be of a gangster Pasha who too stays in London and both the men might have been killed on his wish. Judge asks KD how he can blame DCP like this without any proof. DCP asks for a phone to confirm the number is of his brother.

Sachin catches the tea guy and slaps him. He reveals that Janardan had told him to trap DCP. Sachin asks him where Janardan must be. The tea guy tells him about any godown.
Back in the court, Jaisawal hands over his phone to DCP but the call doesn’t connect. KD says that decision can’t be accepted without the information regarding the number. Jaisawal supports his point. DCP requests the judge to give his final decision but he refuses to proceed without being aware of the truth behind that number.
Daya enters a godown breaking its door. He uses his torch to point out Janardan in the dark. He misplaces some cartoons and spots Janardan’s hand. There were ink strains on his palm, Daya checks his pulse and concludes he’s dead.

In the court, it’s revealed that the number is of DCP’s brother Arun Chitrole. The judge declares he won’t wait anymore and is about to give his decision when Varun enters and whispers something in KD’s ears. KD tells the judge that CID discovered Janardan’s dead body. Judge asks him does he want to say that DCP is innocent and Janardan’s murderer is the real culprit. KD replies in yes at first but reverses his words later. He manages to convince Jaisawal to support him as the main witness who caused DCP accept his crime, is killed so someone else might be with DCP. Jaisawal is convinced and he supports KD. He asks DCP that who’s the one with him in this entire plan. DCP rejects his question. The judge says he’ll give his final decision after a day.
DCP notifies KD that he has no idea what he did. KD utters something regarding justice and the episode ends.
