Actor Deepak Chadha turns a ‘baddie inspector’ again for Life OK’s Savdhan India

Actor Deepak Chadha is known in the telly town as well as Bollywood for playing the corrupt and bad police inspector roles with élan. The man enacted the ruthless Haryanvi police inspector in Rajan Shahi’s Bidaai and went on to essay an equally bad role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In Colors’ Havan, he again played the ‘baddie’ jailor Malkhan Singh who tortured everyone. And now, the guy is all set to shoot for Life OK’s Savdhan India, an episodic to be produced by Flying Turtle Films.

The story is about a lady who is pushed to the edge when her nine year old kid gets killed. The lady then approaches the police inspector, essayed by Deepak for help, only to later find out that the man is not only corrupt, but is also a rapist and has links with the bad world.

When contacted, Deepak Chadha told us, “Yes, I am again roped in to play a horrible inspector who is involved in all bad things.”

On his record of playing the ruthless policeman, the actor said, “I wonder why I always get cast to play an inspector with a bad image. Have you seen my face? I look like the perfect ‘son of the soil’ (smiles). I hope I am offered good roles in future.”

Deepak has also been part of movies like Haunted, Tanu Weds Manu amongst others.

The actor went on to say, “In one of my upcoming films of Prabhudeva titled Rambo Rajkumar, I play a Chief Minister. I hope this is the start to different kind of roles for me (smiles).”

Deepak is all set to start shoot for Savdhan India from today (2 June 2013).
