Priyamvada Kant in Santoshi Maa!!

Actress Priyamvada Kant, who was last seen as the evil and hot and sexy Kanika Jamwal in Channel V’s Swim Team, is all set to enter &TV’s socio-mytho based show Santoshi Maa. Santoshi Maa’s cast includes Ratan Rajput and Ayaz Ahmed in the lead roles.

We contacted Priyamvada, who revealed, “Yes, I am doing the show. My character is named Sharmili but she is not at all Sharmili. I play an antagonist in the show. Santoshi’s in-laws are bullies and trouble Santoshi. But I will play an even bigger bully. Sharmili is full of life, is bubbly, brash and carefree.”

On how she bagged the role, she said, “I had always wanted to work with Rashmi Sharma and coincidentally, even they have always wanted to work with me. They have approached me in the past as well but things would never get sorted. This time, everything fell into place and here I am.”

On playing a negative character again, she told us, “Maybe it is because people have seen me in such characters before and feel that I can pull it off. There is a certain viewership factor involved in it as well.”

The actress has already started shooting for the show. Her entry will be aired in this week.
