‘Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama?’ on Diya Aur Baati Hum!

Shashi Sumeet Productions’ popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) now gears up for some exciting drama on the show where your favorite characters will be seen in complete different avatars.

Our source informs us, “In the upcoming tracks of the show, the viewers will get to see the members of Rathi family in complete new look as Hanuman Gali will be celebrating Shraavan festival. There will be a play happening in the Hanuman Gali on Shiv and Sati and the Rathi family would be actively taking part in it playing different roles.”

“Suraj (Anas Rashid) will be seen playing Lord Shiva, Sandhya (Deepika Singh) will be seen essaying double role of Sati and Parvati and Bhabasa (Ashok Lokhande) will be seen as Daksha Prajapati (father of Sati) and Meenakshi (Kanika Maheshwari) will be seen as Narad Muni in the play. Post this play, Sandhya would be leaving home for her secret mission – Mission Mahabali,” added our source.

When we contacted Kanika Maheshwari, she said, “It’s an outstanding experience doing something like this on the show. The way the drama has been written and we have been given the costumes is really nice. It’s fun to do something like this because we do not tend to play something like this in our daily life so it’s interesting. Everybody is laughing and giving compliments to me in this attire. We are enjoying a lot on sets.”

Sharing his experience with us, Ashok Lokhande aka Bhabasa told, “I am from a theatre background and doing something like this on the show gives me a feel of theatre. It feels really good when I get to do something where a common man has to act. We all are enjoying a lot on sets and getting compliments for our characters.”
