Nikita Dutta made me cry: Kunal Verma

Dashing and handsome actor Kunal Verma, who is currently seen in Life OK’s popular show Dream Girl (Shashi Sumeet Productions) as Karan, recently got into a candid chat with us.

Though essaying a negative character on screen, he got very emotional while performing a particular scene and almost cried. Wondering what made him break down?

Well readers, the reason we hear is his co-star Nikita Dutta aka Lakshmi. The beautiful actress is said to carry out her role with such élan that she almost left him teary eyed.

Speaking about the incident, Kunal commented, “My character in the series is of someone, who is always after Lakshmi’s life, trying to create trouble for her. But in one particular sequence Nikita executed the scene in such a graceful way that she made me really emotional.”

So, as a senior in the industry do you give her any tips? “Honestly speaking I don’t, as I believe that the director is the best person to do so. I sometimes try to encourage them but mostly concentrate on my work only. I believe that even if I am essaying a negative character then I should perform that convincingly.”

The show has been off lately showing many animals and chatting about the same, the actor candidly replied, “I think we are done shooting with every types of animal, first it was fish, then rats and finally dog. And honestly speaking at times it becomes really difficult to shoot with animals as we need to be very patient, but it was fun.”

Kunal recently had a tiff with the makers of Laut Aao Trisha, clearing the air about the same, he said, “There is no such issues with the makers, it’s just that as an actor I wanted to know what was happening with my character and I thought before my character would meet a tragic fate, it was better to step back. But, seriously don’t mind working with them again, if they are ready.”
