I find Fawad Khan very handsome: Sukirti Kandpal
The sexy Sukirti Kandpal, who was last seen on Bigg Boss 8, is all set to impress viewers on Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls (Cinevistaas) on &TV.
The show will showcase the tale of Justice LN Thakur, his wife Mamta and their five eccentric daughters. Famous for their pranks and for being popular with the boy brigade, each of the Thakur girls has her own unique style, personality and charm to match. We caught up with the pretty girl to know more about her character…
“I am playing the third sister, Debjani who is most different from the Thakur lot. She is idealistic and unaware of her beauty. She believes beauty is skin deep. More than looks or riches, it is the character of a person that is important to her. She is a dreamer and still believes in true love in this day and age. Debjani is a shy girl; she is a champion for all the losers and underdogs. She is a journalist by profession and an animal lover. I relate to my character.”
On the show, your mom is very possessive about your horoscope, is that true for you in real life too? She shared, “Yes, my onscreen mom is possessive, but my parents are practical and they don’t believe in all this nonsense. If in the future I try to draw up my horoscope, I will get a tight slap from their side. My father is a judge so I feel close to my onscreen dad as he is also a judge by profession!”
Was Bigg Boss good for you or bad? And has life changed post it?
Sukirti quipped, “I have earned a lot from Bigg Boss, so it was good for me (laughs). It worked very well for me as I got a lot of offers after that!”
Do you think if you had done a little more drama you could have stayed in the house for a long time? She said, “I can’t do nautanki. I was who I am and I was always like that in the house. I was comfortable with Diandra, Upen , Soni, and Sushant and we are still in contact with each other.”
So according to you, what is the USP of your new show?
“The show is all about family, romance, masti, so it will impress viewers. According to me, there are a lot of dramatic shows on TV so I feel our show will help the audience to connect easily. Everything sells today in the entertainment world. This is going to work as well because we are a younger nation today. I personally like to watch English shows and ‘Zindagi’. The stories on Zindagi are compact and realistic. I also find Fawad (Khan) very handsome,” said the pretty actress
Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls will premiere on March 30 at 9 pm.
