Goldie Behl debuts as director on TV with Reporters; Sunny Hinduja and Syed Zafar Ali roped in
Sony Entertainment Television’s new show Reporters has grabbed a lot of eyeballs with its spunky ‘kiss’ promo. The newsroom drama project by Rose Audio Visual’s helmed by Srishti Arya will have Rajeev Khandelwal and Kritika Kamra playing the leads.
Now we have got exclusive information that the finite series will be directed by popular B-town director Goldie Behl. Goldie is Srishti’s brother and has directed films like Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai and Drona. He has also produced couple of films along with Srishti.
Goldie has earlier been associated with TV having co-produced shows like Lipstick, Remix and more recently Jhalli Anjali, Jee Le Zara and more along with Srishti under the Rose Audio Visuals banner. And Reporters is the filmmaker’s directorial debut in the small screen space.
Also joining the cast will be actors Sunny Hinduja and Syed Zafar Ali. Sunny will be seen playing Manav, the antagonist. He would be as ambitious as Rajeev will be, leading to a constant tension between them. Sunny has been part of movies like Cycle Kick, Shaapit, Kill The Rapist among many more.
Also TV’s popular face Zafar will be seen playing Rajeev’s mentor in the show. Lovingly called Panditji, he would be the one who would train Rajeev with journalistic skills, only to be deserted after he would bag a better position in another organization. His character would hold importance for being the only one knowing Rajeev in and out.
We tried reaching Srishti and Goldie but they remained unavailable.
We also could not reach Sunny and Zafar for their comments.
