I have a great ‘off screen’ bonding with Aparna (Dixit) – Navi Bhangu
Produced by Balaji Telefilms, the show will have Navi playing Arjun Singh, son of a wealthy family in Bihar, who thinks he owns the world. Stating more on the character, the actor avers, “He is a bindaas guy who has no fears in life. He thinks he owns the world and doesn’t care about anything or anyone.”
“He lives in the present and with his dad’s money enjoys a luxurious life. Although a pampered and loved child, he has a good heart and will never hurt someone intentionally. Arjun is also a flirt and enjoys his colourful life. He has a lot of layers in the character and Purvi (Aparna Dixit) is the only one who can prick his bloated ego,” he adds.
So how is Navi and Aparna’s off screen bonding? “I think the bonding off screen is much better. She is not only a great actor but also a very good human being. We have just started working but feel like we have been friends for long. We actually enjoy our scenes and work completely.”
Navi also feels lucky to have bagged the show as he shares, “My dreams have finally come true. This is a kind of show and character that I have always wanted to do. Honestly I feel on top of the world. Years back when I was in Punjab I used to watch Balaji’s shows and craved to be on them someday. Thankfully Ekta maam (Kapoor) selected me for the role, and here I am all set as the lead hero in the show (smiles).”
And lastly we ask him about the conspicuous Bihari accent in his tone, “Earlier when I used to hear the language I actually wondered whether I would be ever able to speak in it. Being a Punjabi it was definitely difficult but I have got the hang of it and speak the language fluently now,” Navi ends with a smile.
The show launches on 16 October on Sony PAL.
