Pavitra Rishta to go off air on October 3?
Balaji Telefilms’ popular and long running show Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV will air its last episode on October 3. The show captivated the attention of the audience and the actors of the show gained immense popularity. The viewers appreciated the chemistry of Archana (Ankita Lokhande) and Manav (Hiten Tejwani) even after the original Manav (Sushant Singh Rajput) quit the show.
However, after Sushant’s exit, Ankita too wasn’t happy with the tracks progressing and taking the story ahead. She had also threatened to quit the show if her demands were not met then. But after introducing new characters and roping in Karan Mehra as the new lead after its leap, the show failed to garner numbers and was shifted from its prime time slot.
The change in time slot also could not bring the much needed TRPs and hence the decision has been taken to pull the plug on the show.
Our source says, “The show will air its last day on October 3 and will soon complete its shooting of the show.”
We tried contacting Karan Mehra but he remained unavailable.
We wishes all the actors of Pavitra Rishta all the best!

Ankita Lokhande might be portraying the character of a nice and simple gal in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta. However, she is probably one of the biggest tantrum queens in the television industry, it seems. From what we hear, Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend gave the production team of Pavitra Rishta a tough time recently. To an extent that the crew was almost in tears. Here’s what happened…
Apparently, Ms Lokhande was on the sets shooting like she usually does. However, the shoot stretched because of a few retakes by other actors and other issues. The sequence was incomplete, but Ankita denied shooting as her shift was over. The crew was almost in tears and kept requesting her to resume shooting, but she was certain and said, “Sorry boss, meri shift khatam ho gayi hai.”
This ain’t the first time when we have heard about Ankita’s starry tantrums. Last we heard that Ms Lokhande was apparently in a foul mood due to the change in time slot for her show. And then there were also some stories floating about Asha Negi’s exit from the show due to Ankita’s not so friendly attitude with her. Well, no wonder Ankita hasn’t got a big break in Bollywood yet. Maybe she should take a cue from her boyfriend Sushant, who is known to be quite a workaholic himself.

In a recent case, Ankita Lokhande who portrays the simple and cute next door girl’s role in the serial Pavitra Rishta got way too difficult to handle. According to a source, the actress was very miffed due to the change in time slot for her show. She always claimed to be prime slot actress and as she has done it before, this time too she threatens the production house to quit the show if her show doesn’t continue in the same prime slot.

Yet again there’s an atmosphere of tension on the sets of Balaji Telefilms’ popular show, Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV. And it is yet again the pretty lass Ankita Lokhande who is having (read: creating) a problem.
Seems like ‘competition’ is playing on Ankita’s mind to become one of the heavily paid actors in the TV industry. And she has very conveniently put her point across to the channel and the production house.
As per a reliable source, “There’s a bit of unrest settling in between Ankita and the channel and the production house. Apparently, Ankita has asked for a bomb of a monetary hike in order to continue with the show. She compares herself to Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar and want to be paid like them. This time around, both the parties, namely Ekta as well as the channel are not giving in to Ankita’s demands.”
Well, this might only mean that it will get all the more tough to keep Ankita for a longer time in the Pavitra Rishta family.
Well, if this is the case, then the future of Pavitra Rishta looks uncertain.
Cuts in the source again, “The last time around, when Ankita went out of the show to spend quality time with her beau Sushant (Singh Rajput), the show had the other very popular pair of Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi to take the onus on themselves and keep the ship going steady. But now, the creative team does not have any other popular face or pair in Pavitra Rishta to bank on. Hence if Ankita does not come to terms, this might as well lead to the closure of the long-running show Pavitra Rishta.”
Not the first time though, that a show will shut down owing to the lead actor quitting. The earlier example being the shutdown of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (Star Plus) due to the exit of the lead Barun Sobti.
As of now, all we can say is that the future of Pavitra Rishta is in Ankita’s hands.
We sent a text message to Producer Ekta Kapoor to get her response on the same, but did not get any revert.
All efforts to get in touch with Ankita proved futile.
We also texted a channel spokesperson and awaiting response.
As usual, we will keep you updated on the latest developments from the sets of Pavitra Rishta.

Ankita Lokhande, of Pavitra Rishta, has been throwing tantrums for some time now. But this time around, she didn’t get away with it and was replaced by ABCD actress Lauren Gottlieb for a cricket league opening ceremony performance after the organisers refused to bow down to her demands.
Says a source associated with the event, “Ankita was looking forward to performing. But the deal fell through at the last minute. It started off with monetary negotiations. The actress quoted an exorbitant amount and they agreed. But when she demanded that the shoot be rescheduled, saying she doesn’t shoot on Sundays, the channel decided to replace her. Rescheduling the shoot was not an option.”
Despite repeated attempts, Ankita remained unavailable for comment.

Some girls have all the luck.
Besides having an extremely indulgent boyfriend in actor Sushant Singh Rajput, even mentor Ekta Kapoor seems to have a soft spot for Ankita Lokhande, the blue eyed girl of Balaji Telefilms. All she has to do it to voice her grievances and she’s immediately pacified.
First, Ankita had problems with graying when Pavitra Rishta went for its second big leap in 2013. She took a three month break from the show and negotiated with the production house with the promise of a meatier role in the leap that was planned. So, she’s playing her own grand daughter in the show and has the storyline focused on her.
Then she had problems sharing screen time with Asha Negi with whom she shared cold vibes. For the uninitiated Asha played Ankita’s daughter in the show and had a fabulous screen Jodi with Rithvik Dhanjani. Again, the frosty work vibes apparently took its toll and Asha and Rithvik who were busy with other shows as well chose to quit the show last month.
And now that the show is shifting to an early evening band (6.30 pm) to make way for Ekta’s new show, Kumkum Bhagya, Ankita who had once again threatened to quit has been appeased again. A love track is being designed on her and Karan Mehra who plays her mentally challenged husband in the show. It seems Karan’s character, Naren will become normal and there will be a lot of romance coming up between the lead couple.
If only Ankita could get some TRPs also for her show, that would be the icing on the cake!

I consider other people’s feelings although I am not a public figure, Ankita has a responsibility to conduct herself in a more favourable way because she has fans who look up to her. The new Manav was not a worthwhile replacement since he didn’t suit Ankita in a meaningful romantic way .
Sushant Sungh met some success , but no one considers him a big name actor , every guest on Karan Johar’s show rates him last on looks and talent . He is something of a laughing stock , a misfit a wannabe star in Bokltwood .
When Arjun and Purvi entered the scene there was renewed hope for PR . Ankita became jealous of Asha Negi , she was like Snow White’s stepmom feeling like she was no longer the most beautiful in PR land . Ankita threatened to quit the show forcing the creatives to end the Arjun / Purvi track prematurely and on to a other ridiculous leap that saw the entry of young Ankita . If one notices the choice of PR actresses one will think that Ankita hand picks those who won’t upstage her the way that Asha did . Throughout her time with PR , Ankita always made demands and they’ve treated her as though she is a goddess giving in to all her whims and fancies . There is a saying that that even the longest rope must have it’s end somewhere .
Now it’s time for the PR crew to get a much deserved break from the onscreen angel with an alternate offscreen personality that is Ankita Lookande .
