I am committed to follow my inner voice – Dana Vana
The recent Splitsvilla season – 7 on MTV has been high on glamour quotient, with lot many hotties being in line to woo the men out there. And uping the oomph quotient was Israeli beauty Dana Vana who joined the rest of the girls in the show as a wild card entrant.
Coming from a traditional household, Dana put in her best but failed to make it to the finals of the show.
In conversation with the young lady, we speak to her about her experience with the show and her plans ahead.
Says Dana, “I was nervous as I did not know anyone. I was only hoping for Splitsvilla to be a great experience. Sunny (Leone) accepted me with open arms, and I enjoyed my first day interacting with all girls and guys. From that day onwards, I learned a lot, stretched myself to go beyond my limits and made great friends.”
It is very unlikely for aspirants belonging to a traditional family to move away from their lifestyle and try their hands at something which is forbidden in their culture. While it is evident that Dana is quite a risk-taker, we ask the lady about how did she convince her family and gain their support.
The stunning beauty states, “Yes,, my family is extremely religious. My mother wanted me to marry a good Jewish guy and not be a part of the industry. She preferred that I should dress modestly. But while I love my mother and respect her a lot, I’m committed to follow my own voice in life. Yes my family is religious, but they value love before that.”
Post Spiltsvilla 7, Dana dreams of making it big in Bollywood. On her aspirations, Dana elaborates, “When I came to Mumbai I had an extremely turbulent phase where things such as learning Hindi, adjusting to eating Mumbai food, mess, heat, mentality of people here were difficult to adapt to. But my experience with Splitsvilla 7 has been so challenging that it has made me believe in myself even more deeply. It’s like a second army experience.”
On her Bollywood plans, the beauty explains, “Offers for movies are coming my way and so is a great crowd of fans and friends.”
Dana, we wish you luck with your future projects!!
