Read on to know what this handsome lad has to say!
How was your experience at Tampa Bay? “I agreed to host the red carpet for IIFA 2014 only because they promised me that they will give me Madhuri Dixit Nene’s story. That was the only reason I agreed to hosting. I traveled for two and a half days to stay there for just four days. It was extremely difficult to get holiday from work but my only reason to work was Madhuri Dixit Nene. She is someone whom I have grown up watching. I wanted to be an actor because I saw her movies. Finally I saw her movies and wanted to be an actor. I wanted to dance like her.”
Do you dance? “Of course I dance. But not like her. I do not think anyone can dance like her; but my only dream is to dance with her. I actually did a little bit of that during a story which I did at IIFA 2014, but it would be nice if there is just her and me and no one else around for a film, for a show or for some professional work.”
Tampa Memories! “Tampa was beautiful. I met a lot of people. It was wonderful because we work on television and as actors there are different mediums like I have dabbled in films, television, theatres, advertisements and it is great to see so much of mutual respect. I met a lot of film actors who were extremely generous the way they met us, the way they met me. All of them were so accepting. Lot of them knew who I am and the show I work on and they were very encouraging for the fact that a leading television actor is there and is doing his job. I was not sure how I would be accepted. People from Boman Irani to R. Madhavan to Hrithik Roshan to Aditi Rao Hydari to Dia Mirza, they all were so chilled out, nice and warm. A lot of their parents watch my show; Vaani Kapoor’s mother loves my show. It feels great to be at a place where the best of talent from different mediums came together and spend some time and just observe how they work because these are really the best talents we have in the country.”
You have acted, you have hosted, what is next on your wish list? “I am sure there are lots of things I would like to explore. There are lots I am yet to learn and yet to experience. The field of creativity is such that there are no boundaries but hosting is something I really enjoy. I love connecting with people and also it gives me an opportunity besides portraying a character. I can just be myself and connect with people as myself. So hosting is something I am really looking forward to besides acting which is my first love. And also dancing, which I really love doing.”
Well Nakuul, you surely have a very long way to go. We wishes him all the good luck for his ventures.
