I did Splitsvilla just for fun but found love in real – Ashwini Koul
Wanting to be a VJ, Ashwini Koul chose to get into the popular youth channel last year through Splitsvilla. Little did he know that he would get a chance to make a comeback in the next season too. We spoke to the young gun to find out more about him and his ‘connections’.
“I moved from Delhi to participate in Splitsvilla and there has been no looking back since then. I wanted to be a VJ and am still an aspiring VJ and that’s what I want to be from the bottom of my heart. As for acting, I started getting some offers post the show and I thought that it would be my foolishness to let them go. And thankfully because of these acting opportunities did the makers of Splitsvilla called me back for this season of the show,” he informed.
Talking about the show, the guy managed to find love in Sanjana (Ganesan) for whom he chose to quit the game. “I don’t really know what actually happened. We spoke, became friends, got connected and then things just worked on our favour. Yes, I am dating Sanjana but rather being the mushy lovers we are the best of friends,” shared Ashwini.
We then asked him that whether being the second time in the show gave him an upper hand. “Of course I knew a little more about the show but to be honest I just went there to have fun. The experience that a month in the villa gives you cannot be achieved anywhere else. Although the shoots gets hectic but its super fun. And not just me but Rishabha Sinha, another contestant was a repeat (smiles).”
Ashwini who is all set to star in MTV Fanaah further talked about Sunny Leone (host of the show). “She is a sweetheart. Having interacted with her professionally and personally I can confidently say that she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met.”
And finally when we quiz him on his favourite season (6 or 7), the guy sheepishly smiled to say, “Precisely it’s the seventh season for I got my love in the show. Honestly I had gone in the show just to have fun but cupid hit me (wink).”
That’s how love connects Ashwini!
