Colors’ Balika Vadhu completes a milestone of six years!

Colors long running show Balika Vadhu which started with the launch of the channel has completed its journey of six years today.

Balika Vadhu is one of those shows that have seen the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, this show has seen it all. With Colors as a channel completing successful six years today (July 21, 2014), Balika Vadhu has also completed six years today.

It is in the rarest of rare case that we find a show having such a long association with a particular channel since its inception. One such case is of Balika Vadhu. Today on this wonderful occasion of completion of six years, We got in touch with a few actors from the show and this is what these actors had to say.

Says Shashank Vyas essaying the role of Jagdish, “It is a wonderful feeling. Balika Vadhu is in itself a cult show. Balika Vadhu has lived its run and I think the show is beyond TRP now. The show is doing exceptionally well for the channel. We have completed six years but the love and affection of the audiences is still the same. Nowadays, we find shows running for a year and half and then shutting. When it comes to Balika Vadhu, not many shows are made like this which has a social message involved in it. It is just magical.

The channel as well as the show completing the same number of years on the same date is not less than any coincidence. Many many congratulations to Mr. Raj Nayak. He has done a fabulous job.”

The young Anandi Avika Gor speaks, “Balika Vadhu is a cult show and I believe every actor’s dream. I have the whole team of Balika Vadhu to thank for kick starting my career. Playing the role of Anandi has taught me quite a few lessons, both as an actor as well as on a personal front. I am still a follower of the show and I think the show has sustained the viewers interest brilliantly. I wish the team all the very best for all the years to come their way.”

Even on repeated attempts, we could not get through Toral Rasputra who plays Anandi in the show.

We tried reaching out to the producer of the show Sunjoy Waddhwa but he remained unavailable.
