Shaleen Bhanot and Shaminn to feature in Yeh Hai Aashiqui

Disney Bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui will depict a love story with the backdrop of honor killing.

And making his comeback to acting after a hiatus through the episodic will be Shaleen Bhanot. Joining him as the lead girl will be Shaminn, last seen as the lead of Colors’ Sanskaar Dharohar Apnon Ki.

The story will be about a girl caught in a web of honor killing, and how a dear friend of the girl would try her level best to expose this game plan in order to save her friend. Shaminn will be playing the role of Jia, who will fight it out to save her friend from being killed. Shaleen will play the role of Rakshit, who would be dragged into this scenario, unaware of a death trap being set for the girl.

We hear that Shaminn shot for a long chunk of the sequence bare-footed, running in odd places.

When contacted, Shaminn told us, “Yes, this is my first episodic ever for me. The role is very challenging and interesting at the same time. It was a great experience shooting with BBC. I cannot divulge anything on the story, all I can say is that I play a brave girl who can do anything for others.”

When contacted, Palki Malhotra, Creative Producer, Cinevistaas said, “After we brought back Ali Merchant from a hiatus through our episodic in Yeh Hai Aashiqui, we now bring Shaleen back. Shaleen looks really great, and he fits perfectly into the role he plays. Shaminn is also a hard working and sincere actress. She had to shoot for a long period bare-footed, and she performed with a lot of confidence.”

This particular episodic story will be aired this Sunday.
