Minal Karpe and Gaurav Sharma in Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka

Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka (Rashmi Sharma Productions) has opened its arms to two more new faces and they are Minal Karpe (currently a part of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon…Ek Baar Phir) and Gaurav Sharma (of Phulwa and Jamunia fame).

As reported earlier by us, the show will be taking a two year leap from tonight’s episode where Simar (Dipika Samson) will be seen handling a different household whereas, Roli will be heading the Bharadwaj family.

There were reports about Aadesh Chaudhary essaying the role of Simar’s husband post the leap. His character name will be Vikrant Mehta and Simar will be re-introduced as Suhani to the avid viewers of Sasural Simar Ka,/em>.

The role of Vikrant’s mother Savita will be played by Minal and Gaurav will be seen as her younger son Kartik.

There will also be an addition of five kids in the show. Four of which will be a part of the Bharadwaj family and one of the Mehta family.

Talking about her role Minal said, “I will be seen as a soft spoken mother who would be attached to her family. She will also be someone who will decide everything in the house.”

How will you balance between two shows? “Iss Pyaar Ko… does not consume more than nine days a month so, it won’t be that tough.”

When buzzed Gaurav, he refused to comment.
