This is not a typical Bollywood Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but kuch alag dikhhla jaa: Sophie Choudry
It’s all about glamour! And Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (BBC Worldwide Productions) has never been devoid of glamour. The ardent viewers will witness this glitz and glamour on Colors’ popular show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7 with the hot and sizzling Baby Love, Sophie Choudry shaking a leg with popular and talented choreographer Deepak Singh on stage.
Sophie garnered fame and popularity with her sensational voice and revamped popular old Bollywood numbers. In a free-spirited chinwag with us, Sophie and her expert choreographer Deepak got talking about dance, their rapport, masti on the sets of Jhalak and a lot more.
“Well, Deepak has been a part of Jhalak right from the start. He is a winner and he has been a finalist too. For him this is home and for me I have been offered this show, quite a few times, but now I am finally working on it. So yes, I am excited and nervous like everybody else. And I truly believe that Jhalak is one of the best dance reality shows in India that showcases a lot of talent. So I’m excited to be a part of it,” said Sophie.
Will the chemistry of Deepak and Sophie set the stage on fire? Sophie said, “We fight a lot and I think that’s a good thing. It enhances our chemistry.”
The charming Deepak shared, “Yes. It is very true. We argue and debate over everything- be it dance steps, choreography or other things. But frankly I’m really happy. I have glamour this time. Otherwise I always get bahus.”(Laughs)
Are all the bahus listening?
Any game-plan needs to be executed with a fool-proof strategy. Isn’t it? We tried to take a sneak-peek at their line of action. “We cannot reveal our strategy to you. It’s a top secret. This year, the competition is really tough. The contestants are brilliant and they can all dance. Like you already know, the judges are going to be really strict and getting a full ten is next to impossible. International styles have to be performed. So this is not a typical Bollywood Jhalak. This is definitely kuch alag dikhhla jaa,” said Sophie.
Atta girl!
Deepak agreed saying, “We ourselves have to research about different dance styles, learn and then teach them. So it’s going to be really difficult.”
It seems like Sophie and Deepak are all set to woo the audience with their style and dancing. And in a message to all their competitors, the duo went all out and stated, “To all the Jhalak contestants – this is the best from east and west. So better watch out.” Whoa! Jhalak does have some serious competition out there.
We wishes Sophie and Deepak all the very best!
