‘Kkusum’ fame Manisha Kanojia to return to TV after seven years with Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi
Balaji Telefilms’ upcoming show for Colors, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi has been making headlines for its promising cast. After roping in Shakti Arora, newbie Radhika Madan, Sarita Joshi, Gauri Pradhan, Nitin Vakharia and Muni Jha, the maker has brought in two noted actors to play pivotal roles in the show.
First of all, making her comeback to television after a gap of seven long years will be noted actress Manisha Kanojia. Manisha, known for the colourful role of Arundati chachi in Balaji’s Kkusum, has also been part of shows like Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahan, Kareena Kareena, Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, Resham Dankh, Saarthi.
The lady was into spiritualism for the last few years, and was serving as the ‘Crystal Healer’, ‘Pranic Healer’ etc. Now she will be making her comeback to TV with Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi.
A source states, “The noted Gujarati theatre artist Manisha will essay the role of one of the chachis to the female lead. Her character will sport a very glamorized look; the lady will aspire to bag all the costly and trendy cosmetics to herself. In short, the character will be the funny bone on the show.”
Also, noted actress Amita Choksi, presently is seen in SAB TV’s Baalveer, has been finalized to play an important role. The lady will be seen playing another chachi to the female lead.
When contacted, Manisha Kanojia told us, “Yes, it is true that I am making a comeback to TV after seven years. Earlier, when I took a break for five years, it was Balaji Telefilms that gave me my comeback show in Kkusum. And now, it is through their new show that I get back to TV again. I am excited to come out of the self-imposed break. I am looking forward to be seen on TV again.”
Amita too confirmed this piece of news saying, “Yes, I will play an important role in the new Colors show. But I cannot help you with any details now.”
