Ashish Sharma’s ‘balancing act’; shuttles between Jhalak and Rangrasiya

Ashish Sharma who debuted on television with an intense portrayal in Gunahon Ka Devta has had no looking back in terms of the challenging roles that he has got to play on TV.

After donning the avatar of Chandragupta Maurya, and the flamboyant lover in Rab Se Sohna Isshq, the young lad now impresses one and all as the lead in Colors’ Rangrasiya.

Well, the stage is set for the man to now showcase his dancing skills on Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. And the man is sweating it out, playing the perfect balancing act between his rehearsals for the upcoming reality show and shooting for his ongoing show.

Says Ashish to us, “I shoot for Rangrasiya from 9 am to 9 pm and then rehearse for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa till 1 in the night. It is indeed taxing and tiresome, but my whole team of Rangrasiya is very supportive. They give me enough time during the day to rest. Having said this, everything is a byproduct of Rangrasiya, so that’s one thing which won’t be compromised.”

Ask him whether he is not weary of a burn-out owing to the stress factor working against him and he explains, “I know that stress is going to be huge owing to my commitments, and I am already feeling it. And trust me, the stress levels are only going to increase in the coming days. But my wife Archana Taide and my two dogs at home are enough to take away all the stress in a jiffy.”

On his expectations from Jhalak, the man states, “I am so overwhelmed with my fans’ response and their excitement gives me that extra push to give it my best shot. Win or not, I just want to spend as much time as possible at Jhalak so that I can learn as many new styles of dance as possible.”
