Sony TV updates: Maharana Pratap to be aired for an hour; Bade Achhe pushed to 11 pm slot
With most shows on Sony Entertainment Television going off air, the enchanting historical tale of Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Entertainments) has managed to gain quite a loyal fan following and popularity among the masses.
This is the reason why the show will soon get a slot extension and will be aired for an hour from next week (12 May). The show which has managed to give viewers a visual treat with lots of action, drama and excitement will now give the fans more chance to get entertained.
With Maharana Pratap airing for an hour, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms) that airs at the 10:30 pm slot will now shift to a later slot of 11 pm.
These changes are being tentatively being planned for a span of two weeks at the moment.
We spoke to producer Abhimanyu Singh (Contiloe) who shared, “With people liking our show we have stretched the time slot but it has definitely added a lot of pressure. Making an hour long historical episode is a very tough job, but we are working harder to fulfill viewers’ demand.”
Gaurav Seth, Senior VP and Head Marketing, SET, did not respond to our calls and text message.
We also dropped a text message to Ekta Kapoor (Balaji) who too did not respond.
