Fashion is…
Fashion according to me is something wherein a person is comfortable and confident about carrying it.
Who chooses your clothes?
No one chooses for me. I am very very choosy about my clothes so I select them myself. I even tell my friends not to gift me clothes and shoes because sometimes I may not like them.
Do you wear accessories?
Yes, I love accessories. I like wearing lockets, wristbands, bandanas, scarfs, hats. I have a good collection of watches.
Do you follow any brands?
No, I don’t follow any particular brand. If I like an outfit, I pick it up. All depends on how comfortable I am.
Favourite shopping destination?
I love shopping in Mumbai and Delhi.
Your most expensive buy?
Last year I bought Tag Heuer Grand Carrera watch which is my most expensive buy until now.
Clothes you are comfortable in?
I mostly wear denims and t-shirts. But I love changing my outfits. For parties I wear formals and if it is a theme party I always dress up the theme unless I am coming back from shoot. Actually I love dressing up. While shooting for Sony TV’s show Encounter, one hour or two hours before the shoot, I dress up in uniform and sit on the sets. I am comfortable in whatever I can carry it off.
Must have in your wallet?
My credit and debit cards, licence, id proofs, couple of pictures of my family and then a very small notebook of mantras which my mother gave it to me.
Favourite perfume?
I currently use Paco Rabanne Million.
Describe sale in one word?
It’s difficult to describe sale in one word. All over the year you see shops which declare sales of 50%-60% off. But most of them are not genuine. Many products such as clothes, shoes are not approved by quality departments and they are outdated, thereby fooling people. Sales should actually be in the form of reduced
prices.
Currently your wardrobe is overflowing with?
It is never overflown. I keep only necessary clothes. Things which I don’t use I discard them.
You have had the hardest time getting dressed for?
Not really. Whether for shoot or for parties, I take maximum half an hour to one hour to get dressed.
Any fashion disaster you have come across recently?
I know there are many but I haven’t seen any recently.
If you had to choose a fashion era; which period would it be?
I would prefer 1980’s period. A strange mix of fashion happened at that time with big collared shirts and bell bottom pants. There was a variety of trends. It was not monotonous at all. People were all well dressed and followed fashion with precision and awareness.
