Choti Bahu to end

Zee TV and DJ’s Creative Unit’s Chhoti Bahu..Sindoor Bin Suhaagan had created history by bagging enormous numbers at early evening slot of 7.30 p.m. This trendsetter somewhere down the line lost its charm and its ratings have been decreasing over the last few months. There has been murmur off-late that Chhoti Bahu might go off-air, but a recent report had suggested that the channel had given the show an extended period of 6 months. However, the latest buzz is that the channel has indeed decided to give the show a logical ending.

Ironically, a whole new track has been developed, wherein Rubina Dilaik’s look-alike will be entering in tonight’s episode.

Our source tells us, "Rubina will have a colorful role to play. Imarti is basically, Radhika’s twin sister, who has grown into a professional thief, she thugs people and loots their money. She is a village girl, who is illiterate. She will be seen as a typical village belle and her interaction happens with Dev (Avinash Sachdev), wherein she steals his money."

Even, while this new track is coming, it seems that the channel has already decided to end the show. In all probability, Rajita Sharma’s new show Ram Milayee Jodi, will be replacing Chhoti Bahu sometime around Sept. 17.

When contacted, Rubina Dilaik told us, "The buzz about Chhoti Bahu going off air has been there for a while, but I cannot comment on this till we get a confirmation from either the channel or production house. On the contrary we are starting a new track, wherein Radhika’s look-alike will be entering Chhoti Bahu."

We tried contacting producer Tony Singh and even sent him a text message but did not get a revert.

Even efforts to reach Sukesh Motwani, Fiction Head, Zee TV were futile.
