No intention of appearing on Comedy Nights With Kapil – Lata Mangeshkar

Currently, Kapil Sharma seems to be the cynosure of Lata Mangeshkar’s eyes. The holier than thou singing icon absolutely adores Kapil’s wisecracks so much so that she even tweeted about Kapil not once but twice.

“Aisa comedy show maine aaj tak nahi dekha,” tweeted Lata on 3 April. Later, when Kapil personally visited Lata, so overwhelmed was the songstress that she again tweeted, “Aaj Kapil Sharma mere recording studio main mujhse milne aaye. Unse milke bahut accha laga. Unhone hum sabko bahot hasaya.”

Now a compliment from Lata is worth its weight in gold. Having praised Kapil to the skies, we were curious to know if Lata would ever grace Kapil’s show on Colors, Comedy Nights with Kapil. When we asked her the same, the legend just flashed her enigmatic smile and said, “No…I would not like to appear on any show.”

However, she did mention her admiration for Kapil. “I like Kapil’s show very much and I had also given him a present on his birthday but that doesn’t mean that I will go on his show.”

Well, let’s wait and watch if Kapil can make Lata didi change her mind.
