Barkat to re-unite with her family in Colors’ Beintehaa

Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions) will see a new track unfold with the entry of Barkat (Dimple Jhangiani) into Barkat Villa.

The entire family will be glad to get their daughter back. There will be happiness around, and Osman (Naved Aslam) and Suraiyya (Suchitra Pillai) will shower all their love on their daughter. Zain (Harshad Arora) too will develop an emotional bonding with his sister.

However, there will be something peculiar about Barkat as she has had a very different kind of upbringing.

A source states, “The girl would have been brought up in a basti and for her, Meer Khan (Suneel Sinha) would be her world. She would consider him as her father, and when she will get to know of her real identity she will be shocked. Initially, she would be reluctant to even accompany Osman and Suraiyya to their house. But with Meer Khan accepting his crime, Barkat will proceed with her parents.”

At Barkat Villa, she will be stunned and dazed to see the wealth and grandeur in which the family stays. Also, she will be spotted with a beedi in her hand, puffing it to glory sitting in her room.

Would Barkat be able to adjust to the new lifestyle? Is there something more than what meets the eye?

When contacted, Dimple told us, “It’s been a great feeling to get into the team of Colors with Beintehaa. On the first day itself, I got to be decked as a bride with heavy jewelry and attire. This is a challenging role for me, as I need to essay a Muslim character. I am presently working on my dialect to get it perfectly right.”

We hear that the character of Barkat might shift to have a grey shade, as the story progresses.

However, these are early days and the creative team would closely watch the response for the track of Barkat.
