It’s important to have your feet well stuck in the ground, with head held high – Kapil Arya
Although he had a dream of becoming an actor from childhood, he took up MBA to get a strong foothold in his career. One fine day, the good looking Kapil Arya thought he has had enough, and decided to move to Mumbai.
And from here started a five years journey wherein Kapil had his share of ups and downs. “I don’t like to call my initial days as a ‘struggling phase’ and would rather look at it as a testing time of my hard work and patience level. See, I came to Mumbai to fulfill my dreams and not regret about not trying hard enough. I wanted to put in all my efforts and leave the rest on destiny. And thankfully there has been no looking back.”
The guy from Uttaranchal who studied in Delhi adds, “It has been a learning phase in the industry and I feel it’s the same with all sectors. One just needs to focus and do the job well, for hard work always pays. And you also need to have your feet well stuck in the ground, with head held high.”
“I started off with some episodics and then soon bagged Shapath (Fireworks Productions). I have been associated with the show for the last two and a half years. I had shot for the pilot and the first scene of the show was shot with us. The show is very special to me and the team has become like a family,” shares Kapil.
He further quips, “The journey has been superb and I get to do so many interesting and exciting things. Also all the actors have become thick friends now. Even though many actors have come and gone, all of us share a friendly relation. All of us have our ‘boy’s time out’. On sets we make sure to eat together and party hard on all occasions. We also have a lot many get-togethers planned at everyone’s home.”
On getting a feeling of stagnancy after being part of Shapath for over two years, he states, “Ours is not a daily drama show where you have the same story with same emotions. This is an action packed show where every episode is a like a different movie having a grabbing storyline. We shoot outdoors and have a great time. And with TRPs supporting us, I think we have a long way to go.”
We wish you luck!
