Akhilendra Mishra in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum

He gained popularity as Kroor Singh on small screen, has been part of legendary movies such as Lagaan, Sarfarosh, Gangajal, The Legend of Bhagat Singh and Shoot Out At Lokhandwala and soon will enter Star Plus’ popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions). We are talking about none other than the veteran actor Akhilendra Mishra who will be seen playing the Chief of an Extremist group in the upcoming track of the show. His character will be seen as a ‘Master of disguise’ and a man of few words focused on his mission.

The actor who has proved himself in every role he played, said, “I have played a cop in most of my movies. This is for the first time that I am playing a negative character in a show that talks about a girl’s journey to become and IPS officer. I have heard a lot of good things about the show and besides being the number one show on television Diya Aur Baati Hum brings across a very strong message which has been projected in a very constructed way to the viewers. I am really looking forward to this role.”
