Sunil Grover who is all set to tickle the funny bones of the audience in his upcoming show Mad In India on Star Plus talks about the show, what made them choose this title and much more in conversation with us.
Talented actor Sunil Grover, who is well known for his character of Gutthi in Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors, is all set to be seen in the feminine avatar of Chutki. The ace actor is here to tickle our funny bones with his humorous gags in Star Plus’ upcoming show Mad In India.
Here is Sunil sharing about his character in detail and also talks about the show Mad In India…
As Sunil was applauded by the masses for his exceptional and unique character of Gutthi and who managed to win the hearts of the audiences with his typical lingual way of communicating and by giving full dose of entertainment, says that his motive is to only entertain the audience, “I don’t miss the character of Gutthi and I do acknowledge the character of Chutki. My new character is different from Gutthi but the motive remains the same to entertain the masses and make them laugh.”
When we asked Sunil about this funny and humorous title of the show, he says, “We thought this name would be apt as there is a lot of madness involved in the show. All the characters are completely mad so instead of some sensible name we preferred this name Mad in India. There will be a lot of fun in the show will do uchal kudh and masti with the celebrities who will be making appearances in the show. Manish Paul will make the interaction in a funny way and crack jokes to make audience laugh and many more things for the audience on set. Other characters who will also be a part of this mad family are Dolly Ahluwalia, Shewta Tiwari, Khayali, Siddharth Jadhav, Rehman Khan, Paritosh Tripathi etc. will also add the funny quotient on the stage. We will try to show our society a mirror but by the means of comedy.”
Sunil’s objective and basic principle is to make people laugh. He just wants to bring a smile on the face of his audience by his comical acts as he says, “I will stick to my objective of bringing smile on the faces of my audience and I will do it through the different ways that I know best of it. The things people love the most are my comic antics and I will bring all that together to add more fun.”
Sunil is always ready to take new challenges though he gets anxious of portraying a similar character which he has played earlier as well but being responsible enough, however her doesn’t like to compare things and says, “I am nervous but I won’t say that I am under any pressure, instead there is a sense of responsibility but by end of the day I enjoy my work and will continue to do it. I don’t want to compare anything with my previous appearance because I can do only those things in which I am good at.”
When asked Sunil about his character of Chutki, he says, “Chutki is a character of a small town girl and since I also come from a small town I have observed girls minutely in terms of their body language, behavior and know everything about the girls who hail from small town. That is why I am able to portray the character so well and please don’t forget that I am a boy so I obviously stare at girls (Laughs). I will not only play the character of Chukti but will appear in multiple characters.”
“It is always said that behind every successful man there is a woman but there is a man behind this successful woman. I have a personality disorder and this disorder is helping out,” concludes Sunil laughingly as he talks about his success for portraying characters flawlessly on-screen.
We wish Sunil and the entire team of Mad In India all the very best!
