Veera 4th December 2013 Written Episode
The episode starts with balvant pacing in the corridor of his house waiting for bansuri to get ready. He mutters “bansuri, you have grown up children, yet you take more and more time to get ready as you grow older…old the horse, multi colored reigns” inside Bansuri is applying black kajal to cover her grey’s and she says lucky are the ones who never grow old however old their kids might grow.
“shall I tell Tayi ji that you called her a old horse?” Veera says from behind the door. Balvant welcomes her inside and says my brave tigress has grown up so big. Then they exchange pleasantries and Balvant says if you had come a little earlier, you could have met gunjan but she has gone out, never mind, you must meet Baldev. Veera says “yeah yeah…ever since I arrived, I’ve been colliding with him” Balvant looks in question, Veera tells him that Baldev has erected a pandal in the middle of the road when he could have put it anywhere in the pind, there is so much space. Bansuri is coming down the stairs, her face turns to anger, as Veera is talking she comes down and reprimands Veera for complaining against her son. Veera says to Balvant that nobody ever complains to him about his son for two reasons, one he is sarpanch, two Baldev and his friends always rule over everyone. She asks Balvant if he could shift the pandal elsewhere or not, Balvant is about to say something, Bansuri singnals him to say no. He does so and says if he dares to shift the Pandal elsewhere, communal displeasure might arise, so its better if they leave everything where it is.
Ratan is buying vegetables, the town crier announces over the mike “Baldev the junior chief has arranged a Mata ki chowki like every year and all citizens must attend…those who don’t attend will be calling sins upon themselves..” Ratan says it’s their wish if they attend or not..why does he do this. Ranvi says “let it go..but now we must go to market and buy coffee powder for Veera..she has lost the habit of tea and those who regularly have such drinks would have a head ache if they miss it for one day..so let’s go”
The decorations for Chowki are going on and Baldev comes to oversee the preparations. He yells at the workers and orders his friends. He says “today Surjeet singh is the chief guest and there should be no mistake..he is the ladder to reach the sky of my dreams”
A man on a cycle wants to go through the road but Baldev shoes him away. Veera is watching from the side and she decides that she must put an end to all this. she thinks that one person will surely have an idea to this problem and picks the phone to call him but her ego comes in the way and she thinks why should I call first..let him. Then her phone rings and voila! Its Karan whom she was thinking about. She lets it ring. Then he dials again and they speak. After their usual talk is over, she tells him about Baldev and karan says you can solve any problem. Baldev is testing the mike, Veera gets an idea. She thanks karan and says I love you’ then bites her tongue and says I meant, I hate you and karan cuts off. She dials a number and says “hello..Balbeer veer ji”
Ranvi asks the shop keeper for coffee powder but he says it’s not available since nobody in the village drinks coffee. He could buy it from the shop on the high way. Ranvi tells rattan you go ahead I have some work. She says “for the first time you are lying to your mother for Veera” Ranvi replies “veera has asked a small thing, I have to give it to her”
Veera is repairing her bike, chai ji asks what are you doing here? Go and get ready we have to reach the pandal. Veera says yes im coming but waiting for Veer ji. Chai ji says he’ll come soon you go get ready.
Veera and family reach pandal and bow their heads in front of goddess. Baldev smiles evilly at veera and veera ties the mata ki chunri tightly on her head as if challenging baldev. Then the horns of a jeep sound and Surjeet and bakhtavar arrive in style. Baldev and his cronies welcome him with garlands. Surjeet comes to dias and Baldev praises him to the hilt saying it’s because of him that the hearths of 10 villages around continues to burn. Because of his arrival the atmosphere became pure. Veera thinks that you won’t be beaming like this for long. Just see what I do..Balbeer and a friend look from the curtains.
Later, Surjeet is going away, rattan stops him and tells him that they have almost gathered the laon amount due to him with shortage of just 25000 and that too will be paid by 10th of next month. Surjeet says this is not the correct place for money matters yet first you arrange that money then talk to me. Veera over hears their convo and she is very tense. Chai ji tells her that they had to pledge the Farm for some requirement and she need not worry much about it.
Precap: Surjeet is going away in haste and Baldev tries to stop him. Surjeet says because of that girl the son of god has been called a sinner..did you call me here to get me insulted? Then he leaves. Baldev’s friend comes and informs that it could be the handiwork of Veera. Baldev says not just hands but entire veera is responsible for this.
