“Aashka and Rajshriji are very close to me” : Faisal Khan

The young lad Faisal Khan of Maharana Pratap talks about how he manages his studies along with the shooting of his show, his rapport with his co-stars, his dream of dancing and future plans with us…

Faisal Khan more famously known as Maharana Pratap from the on going historical show of Sony TV’s Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap is winning hearts of the audience with his acting and has been climbing the ladder of success. The 14 year old boy wants to grow more in this glamorous field but at the same time he wants to complete his studies that to for his parents.

When asked Faisal about how does he cope up with his studies and the shooting, he says, “I do take out time for my studies in between. Though I am not able to attend school much but I do cope up with studies with the help of the tutor.”

Further he adds, “A tutor used to come on the sets and help me with the studies, but now I go to his place as soon as I get free from the shoot. Also in a week, I do attain school for two days but not fully.”

The young actor’s parents want him to concentrate on his studies first and they seem to be very stern about it, “Yes that’s true. My family is very strict when it comes to studies. I remember when I was in 7th STD, I had joined dance class and that was affecting my studies. At the end I had to leave the class for studies.”

Faisal says that today his parents are fine with his acting as he is managing his studies along with the shoot, “When I was going for Dance India Dance auditions, I promised my mom that if I don’t get to participate in the show, I will keep learning dance but fortunately that didn’t happen. Today my parents are fine with what I want to do but their only condition for me is to complete my studies. My mom is a graduate and thus I’ll complete my graduation at least.”

On being quizzed Faisal with whom is he close to on the sets, he says, “Well I’m close to everyone, be it Shaktiji or Rajshriji or Aashka though currently they are not here. Shakitiji (Shakti Anand) has gone to Chandigarh and Aashka has gone to New York. About my on-screen mother, she comes only sometime on the sets so right now I am feeling very alone.”

He is more close to Rajshri Thakur Vaidya and Aashka Goradia who are portraying the characters of his mother and step mother respectively in the show. Talking about the same, Faisal states, “Aashka and Rajshriji are very close to me. I mean we roam all around since outside our sets there is a village, so we do go there together. Sometimes we also hang out at Aashka’s place, and cook something nice. It’s a good fun.”

The entry of the grown-up Pratap will soon happen in the show. Talking about the same we asked Faisal if his track might come to an end or not, if it is so then has he started looking out for work in another show or Films? This is what Faisal has to say, “I can’t say anything about that as I don’t know. For now there is this show, my dancing and studies. Later, let’s see what’s next for me.”
