Do Dil Ek Jaan to end by December?
Life OK show, Do Dil Ek Jaan which had started in June this year began with a positive vibe. The romance between the lead actors Nikita Sharma and Ayaz Ahmed had generated a lot of interest among the youth audiences.
However, over time the ratings began to drop and the latest figure (1719) have caused alarm bells to ring.
This Saurabh Tewari (Nautanki films) produced show is now ranking quite low among Life OK properties.
The other new shows i.e Gustakh Dil (2794) and Ek Boond Ishq (2673) are doing much better.
In this scenario we hear the buzz that the channel may take the decision to end the show by December.
Furthermore, our sources add that since quite some time Saurabh has anyways not been paying much personal attention to this project as he is focusing on his other TV projects and upcoming films.
The buzz goes that he may use the Do Dil Ek Jaan set for his movie venture. This news if confirmed will be bad news for both Nikita and Aayaz who were just beginning to enjoy the fruits of success. The craze regarding their love making and kissing scene was an indication of the same. What will really scare them is the out of sight out of mind syndrome, once your show gets over, there is no guarantee that you will get fresh show soon. And as we know, our TV industry is full of one show wonders.
When we contacted producer Saurabh he said, “I have no idea. We have not been informed.”
He also cleared the air regarding shooting of his film at Do Dil set, “Not true. My entire film is being shot at different locations in Mumbai. We were just considering doing some patch work there but even that is not happening.”
Both Nikita and Ayaaz were not available for comment. We also left a text message to Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK but he chose not to respond.
