Shafaq Naaz misses her ‘best friends’ Arun Rana and Suhani Dhanki on the sets of Mahabharat
Actress Shafaq Naaz, who essays the role of Kunti in Siddharth Tewary’s magnum-opus mythological saga on Star Plus Mahabharat, misses the good company that she had on the sets of the show for the initial 4-5 months.
Well, we are talking about the great bond of friendship that Shafaq had with the actors playing the roles of Pandu and Madri in the Swastik Productions show. Arun Rana who played Pandu, Suhani Dhanki aka Madri and Shafaq gelled so well from day one of their association on the sets of Mahabharat that there was no looking back for them in terms of friendship.
Says Shafaq, “Yes, Arun and Suhani have been very close to me from day one of the shoot of Mahabharat. Initially, our track was on and we spent quality time together for nearly 4-5 months. Now that their track is over, I miss them on set. On the last day of their shoot, all of us cried and I cried the most. It was indeed a tough moment, and to me the best time I have had on Mahabharat has been with them.”
Shafaq who has been shooting in Umargaon makes it a point to meet Arun and Suhani whenever she is in Mumbai. Talking about their good old days, the actress states, “Whenever we had free time, we used to sit and chat together. The best part with me, Suhani and Arun was that we used to be very comfortable in each others’ company. We never used to get hurt with any talk. The fun part was that as Madri, Suhani needed to be jealous and show her vampish side to my on-screen character of Kunti. And Suhani hated to be rude on screen with me. We are actually so close to each other that we would want to play sisters in our future projects. Suhani is my best buddy, and I have never been so close to anyone. Arun is a fun person to be with. He was the attention seeker in our group and used to be pampered by us girls.”
Shafaq, we hope you three have a gala get-together soon.
