Leap dilemma in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta
A lot has been written about the impending leap that Zee TV’’s popular show Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms) will see.
The creatives intend to up the drama quotient via this jump in plot but what really unfolded was chaos off screen with majority of the younger crop of actors deciding to quit over aging issues.
And now more confusion has hit the Pavitra camp. As per our sources, the leap which was supposed to take place this month has been pushed to end of October or starting of November.
Reason? Our industry sources say that producer Ekta Kapoor is happy with the ongoing track focusing on Soham (Ankit Narang) and Gauri (Priyanka Kandwal) which is getting decent eyeballs.
Added a source: “Actually the maker is a tad worried with the fact that if the younger lot moves out due to the leap, it might affect the show’s overall popularity. Hence they are weighing all options at the moment before taking a final call.”
To get more info on the development, we buzzed actors Ankita Lokhande, Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi but all remained unavailable.
We shall soon come up with more updates!!!

September 08, 19:14They should leave things as they are. They have alot of things they could develop with the story line now. I think with the younger actors leaving if there is a leap would do more harm to the popularity of the show, which is gradually losing its audience….More Purvi and Arjun, get a man for Teju…..

September 09, 13:09Agree with this. The leap would lose a lot of the current cast and the show will lose its appeal and fans. Purvi/Arjun and Soham are major drawcards of the show, losing them will be detrimental for the show.
