‘If you are in hands of brilliant people then nothing to worry’

Says actor Viraf Phiroz Patel who plays the main lead in the upcoming show Ek Boond Ishq.

The handsome actor Viraf Phiroz Patel who has done shows like Kismat, Tere Meri Love Stories among many others will be seen playing the character of Neil in the upcoming daily soap Ek Boond Ishq on Life OK.

The character of Neil is very different from the characters that we see in the daily soap. He is the man who has a dilemma of thoughts and he is seen dealing with it. A very challenging role for an actor and how brilliantly Viraf will portray it is all what we have to wait and watch until the show goes on air.
On the same we got in touch with Viraf Phiroz Patel, to know more about the show, his character and much more.

An elated Viraf says, “I am super excited for this show. BBC is a great production house to work with. I have worked with them before in Teri Meri Love Stories, which was a great experience. Saba Mumtaz is a great writer as we all know.”

Viraf started to watch writer cum producer Saba’s show after he signed Ek Boond Ishq, “From the time that I have signed Ek Boond Ishqiya, I have started watching Saba’s shows which are on air namely Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Saraswatichandra. I find her a brilliant writer. She is all set to show her magic in writing as well as a producer in Ek Boond Ishq. I am very happy to be a part of this show.”

When asked about portraying a challenging character in the show Viraf says, “My character in this show is very tone, troubled guy and is in a dilemma of thoughts that he is dealing with. It is a very challenging role but yes a dream for any actor to play this kind of a role. Hope the viewers like my character and the show.”

So will the twist in the tale make viewers glued to the show? Viraf says “My look might and might not change in the show. Saba has planned a different vision to it. There are a lot of twists and turns in the show, so just let’s wait and watch what will happen (smiles).”

Viraf believes that there is nothing to worry when you are in the hands of brilliant people, “I just had the jist of the storyline and by that itself I was so impressed that I took up the show. Apart from that the beauty of television is that when something doesn’t work than it can be changed at that moment itself. Also when you know that you are in the hands of brilliant people like Saba, BBC and Life OK, than there is nothing to worry about.”

The storyline of the show has the concept of romance but with a different touch to it, “This show is different from the other shows on television. Though its core is about romance but that too will be shown with a different touch to the story line. Hope that the viewers like and enjoy the show”, says Viraf.

So does Viraf watches the shows on television which has his friends in it? “I do watch the shows of my friends like Saraswatichandra which has my very good friend Gautam Rode. Also my friend Vahbiz Dorabjee Dsena has joined the show, we both grew up in Pune together. Vivian is a good friend so I do catch up on the show Madhubala ” Ek Ishq Ek Junoon too.”
