“Every show has its own destiny!” Jay Soni
In a candid chat Jay Soni talks about what he feels now that his show Sanskaar Dharohar Apnon Ki is going off air and what he plans to do next.
The news is buzzing in the media that Swapna Waghmare’s popular daily soap Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki is all set to go off air on 13th of September this year. On the same we got in touch with the talented actor Jay Soni who essayed the role of Jai Kishan, as this show was very close to him. He shared with us about his journey in the show so far, the people he was very much close too, his plans after the show goes off air and much more.
It was a shocked reaction for Jay when he came to know that the show is going off air, “The moment I came to know that my show was going off air there were a lot of memories which hit me right from our shoot in the USA to the happy shooting in Mumbai. The role of Kishan was very challenging and it was a performance based role. I have given my 200% playing this role and I am very much satisfied too with my performance.”
“Every show has its own destiny, also luck matters at time. I do not know what was lacking in the show that it had to go off air,” he further adds.
Just like all other shows, the actors of Sanskaar too had a bonding amongst themselves, “My onscreen mother in the show a.k.a Sonali Sachdeva and ex-Bhoomi a.k.a Shamin Manan are the two people I am very much close too. I was very much shocked when I came to know that Shamin was getting replaced. I could not digest the fact but than nobody can stop anything from happening. So it is always better to take things positively. I will always be her friend and I wish her good health. It was a good experience working with the co-actors and the production house. The entire journey of Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki was very much memorable too.”
Later he didn’t find it difficult to shoot with the new Bhoomi a.k.a Kadambari Kadam who replaced Shamin Mannan recently, “An actor has to manage with all the characters while acting. So I am all fine with Kadambari Kadam playing the role of Bhoomi. The shoot is going as easy as it went with Shamin.”
Like many other TV actors Jay too is waiting for the transition from TV to films after this, “Yes, I am looking forward to doing movies after this show. But, I am not going away from television. Television is my first love and will always be. I am also open to non-fiction shows for now.”
He is actually waiting for the right opportunity to knock his door, “I have been getting offers for daily soaps but I haven’t taken any call as of now. If there is something that excites me and is very much performance based than I will surely take it up.”
In the meantime once the show goes off air it will be a much needed break for Jay, “There is a month left for my show to go off air and soon after that I am planning to go for a vacation along with my friends. I need to refresh myself before I take up anything else.”
We wish Jay Soni all the luck for the future!
