The episode starts with the Independence Day Celebration’s at Gokuldaam Society. Everyone claps for Madhavi and Bhide as they sang a song. Then Jethalal and Daya goes on the stage to sing the song Jis Desh me Ganga Behti Hain………..Everyone applaud their performance. Babuji and Tappu even dance on the tune. Jethalal wonders whether he sang good. Everyone praises their singing. Jethalal interacts with the Judge Uday and says they liked his songs. Taarak requests Mr. Uday to perform on stage. He sings Vandemataram……Aaoo bacchon tumhe sikhawun…………Everyone claps and praises his performance. Uday says that everyone sang well and he is in dilemma about whom to choose as a winner. He invites Chamak chacha aka Babuji to come on stage. He says it was difficult to choose the winner but he wrote it and asks Babuji to announce the winner. He leaves saying he needs to go now. Babuji thanks him. Taarak asks Babuji to declare the winner. Babuji asks them to sit and says he will announce the winner tomorrow during Flag raising. he asks everyone to sleep now as they have to wake up early.

Next morning, Everyone gathers in the compound wearing Independence day clothes. Taarak praises Natu kaka and Bhaga for their decoration. Jethalal too praises them and jokes that you too would have worked with the decoration service. Bhaga says he worked with the decorator before. The ladies ask about Babuji and says they are eager to know about the winner from Babuji. Sodi comes and greets them, Babuji too greets them Happy Independence Day. Everyone asks Babuji to announce the winner. Babuji says everyone sang well yesterday.

It was difficult to name one but we have decided on one, he won our hearts yesterday and we are happy because of him. He says today Flag will be raise by Natarwar Lal aka Natu kaka. Everyone is surprised. Babuji says Natu kaka and Bhaga work hard and decorated this society without any selfishness. Bhide says even though he is not a member of our society but he mixes with us like the sugar melts in water. Bhaga gets emotional. Jethalal and Daya says that you are good. Natu kaka says he is happy that he is born in India where selfless people lives. Jethalal tells Babuji that Natu kaka got happy because of you.

Everyone goes to raise the flag, Natu Kaka does the honours of flag raising, while everyone sings the national song, Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka………., and salutes to the flag. Natu kaka says aloud Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

Taarak’s Message:
We didn’t get the Independence easily, we got it with so many people sacrificing for the nation. He says let us take an oath that we will fufill our duty towards our nation.

Daya tells Jethalal that she wants his one day. Jethalal gets romantic and sings a song Tere naam humne kiya hain jeevan apna saara sanam and says his life is her’s. Daya says she wants only one day from him as she wants him to accompany her to Ahmedabad. Jethalal is shocked.
