The episode starts with the society members arguing over who will raise the flag on the independence day. Babuji says we have to decide who will get the honours. Tappu sena suggests an idea that we will sing the national songs and whoever win will raise the flag. Everyone agrees and Taarak praises Tappu. Bhide announces the competition, Babuji asks them to starts preparing for the national songs. Tappu says he and his sena will participate in the competition. Then they argue about the decoration. Jethalal says he will take care of the decoration. Daya says how can you do? Jethalal says he will asks Natu kaka and Bhaga to organise everything. He tells Bhide that he will call them and they will organise everything. Bhide and Babuji asks jethalal to call Natu kaka and Bhaga and inform them. Jethalal calls natu kaka and Bhaga picks the call. Jethalal asks him to come to organise the Independence day celebration at their society. Bhaga says he and Natu kaka will take care of it.

Jethalal asks him to meet Bhide regarding it. He informs Bhide that he told Natu kaka and Bhaga to come. Babuji tells the society member that it is the matter of prestige to sing the national song and raise the flag. Sodi says he will sing by heart and will be happy either if lose or win. Hathi says anyone of us can win. Jethalal tells Daya that they shall win and raise the national flag. Daya says she don’t need to practice as she knows well how to sing the song. Jethalal says she didn’t tell him anytime about it. Daya sings some stupid song and not the national anthem, jethalal says it is not the song. He asks her to sleep. Jethalal wonders what song he shall sing.

Popatlal thinks everyone will sing with their wife’s and who will sing with me. He loses hope but somehow gives himself strength and says he must sing well. He hears someone’s singing the song and thinks someone is singing pleasantly. He goes to that house and finds some lady there. He thinks she is beautiful and has a good voice. She asks the kids about their choice of songs. Popatlal introduces himself as a reporter. Tappu introduces the teacher, Sandhya as their music teacher. Popatlal thinks to propose her and asks are you married. Sandhya says no. Popatlal gets happy. He asks her what is her remuneration for teaching singing. She says 1000 Rs, Popatlal says you might charge 10000 rs, shocking the kids. Popatlal says he will give her 10000 rs to learn the singing. Her boyfriend comes there and says thank you.

He says your money will help us in our marriage. Popatlal is shocked and changes his mind. He says it will be a cheating if I learn singing. He says I will practise myself. Daya gives laddo to Jethalal, Jethalal fumes as it has haldi. He leaves. He comes to his shop and finds it locked. He calls Natu kaka and Bhaga, who tells them that they are in the society compound. At first Jethalal doesn’t believe him but later remembers that he asked them to come to the society for organising the event. Jethalal asks them to do the work. Jethalal decides to go home and practise the singing.

Bhide is practising the song, Madhavi comes and asks him to cut the brinjal. Just then Natu kaka and Bhaga comes and asks about the work. Bhide gives them decoration work and asks them to do it within the budget. Madhavi offers them water. Bhaga praises Bhide and Natu kaka too praises them as Bhide is working along with Madhavi. Bhaga and Naty kaka leaves.

Abdul thinks about the selection of song, someone comes and he sought his help. He suggests two songs, Abdul choose one, Rang de basanti song over Suno ghor se….. Abdul gives him free cigars. Jethalal comes and greets Abdul. he says he came to practise as well. Natu kaka and Bhaga sees him and begins the talk. They says that they have started the work and Bhaga starts saying the shers. jethalal asks them to concentrate on work rather than shers. Natu kaka says they was doing the work and you disturbed us. Jethalal leaves saying them sorry. Babuji smiles as he sees Natu kaka and Bhaga working.

Everyone wants to sing good so that they can showcase their love for the nation. He says Bhaga and natu kaka organising the event. And Lets see who wins. stay tuned.
