Gautam Rode says Saraswatichandra is here to stay!
While on one hand the makers have planned to show the union of Saras and Kumud, the rumors of Saraswatichandra going off air are still doing the rounds.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s exotic love story on Star Plus which is more of a movie on the small screen has huge popularity among the youth as well as middle aged audience. The costume, the exotic locations, the chemistry between Kumud (Jennifer Singh Grover) and Saras (Gautam Rode), the love and extravaganza is loved by the audience. However the TRP is of one big issue for the makers.
A mega budget show like Saraswatichandra has failed to generate good TRPs and has stuck in between 1.8 to 1.9 which is somehow not acceptable to the decision makers. Lots of news about the same has been heard. Its also said that every good thing comes to an end, so we tried to find out whether this show too will end or will it continue..
We got to know from one of our reliable source who informs us, “The show will have to shut down because of various issues and it cannot be pulled on further. Firstly the payment of actors has been of major consideration as well as the tiff between production house and the actors which lead to heated argument on the sets.”
“The second major issue is that the TRPs are not happening. Fans loving a show is very different from the fact that to run a show its important that there are good TRPs too” mentioned the source.
However the other side of the story is that to salvage the show from going off air there are twists and turns planned. “As per the story coming up Kumud and Saras will unite.”
However when we called the Assistant Director Nitesh Singh to confirm the news he said, “Yes the show Saraswatichandra is set to close down by September end since the channel hasn’t given extension for the same. However the date is not yet locked.”
The handsome Gautam Rode on the other hand contradicts this and said, “I have been hearing about the show going off air too but, I would just say that wait and watch. As of now, I can say that the show is here to stay.”
Well after all this we can say that only time will tell if the show will be pulled off or stay!
