“Rainy season for me is like washing away all my worries”
says Siddharth Shukla, when we got in touch with him to know about his monsoon love…
The magic of monsoon has just begun. Monsoon means many things to many people, it is the time to set out and explore nature in all its glory. Everything around looks so fresh and clean including the freshness in the air brought by the rains.
But well most of the times it turns out to be annoying too, for the hurdles that it causes in the day to day life of the people, especially the ones who are travelling during the rainy season
We got in touch with the dashing Siddharth Shukla who is popularly known as Shiv of the show Balika Vadhu and is also seen as contestant on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, about his monsoon love, his favourite monsoon hangout and much more.
Lets have a look on what he said…
Rainy season for me is: Rainy season for me is like washing away all my worries, the sprouting of new hopes and my dreams going green. I love the smell of the soil after the first rains and the serenity and the freshness this weather brings to Mumbai makes it look rejuvenated and revitalized.
Precautions that I take during Monsoon: I am very fond of street food especially chaat but I avoid eating all of this during monsoons as it catches sickness.
My memories related to Monsoons: Playing football in t he rains was fun so also going for swimming was what I loved during monsoons.
My favourite visit during Monsoon: My favorite visit during monsoon has to be the drive to the beautiful place Lonawala for its scenic exquisiteness.
Must carry things in Monsoon: An umbrella is always in my car so that I don’t get wet, as I can’t afford to fall sick with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Balika Vadhu going on.
My monsoon music: The theme song of the television series Friends, is what I love to hear.
I dedicate this to all my friends out there-
I’ll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour….
I’ll be there for you, like I’ve been there before….
I’ll be there for you, cause you’re there for me too.
My monsoon special khaana: I love eating Bhajiyas made by my Mother the best and sipping a hot cup of tea or coffee alongside, it totally makes my day.
My monsoon tip for the readers: If you think sunshine brings happiness, try dancing in the rains. Do it this monsoon if you haven’t tried it till now.
