Arjun 20th July 2013 Written Episode

Show starts with girl chopping vegetable, doorbell rings, she gets up to answer and try to slam the door when she sees the man at the door. Man forces himself in the house. It is her brother in law. He is drunk; He taunts and abuses her and bad mouth his wife (girl’s sister).
He demands the girl to bring him water, girl goes to get the water and the man pulls our alcohol from his pocket and starts drinking. He looks at the girl with evil intention then forces her to sit next to him. He tries to abuse the girl, and in that struggle the girl gets hold of the knife and stabs her brother in law in the stomach. He dies, just then the girl’s phone beep and she receives a SMS saying, it seems you have just killed someone and if you need help to hide the body then call this number without hesitation.

Scene next morning’
Trash collector finds a body in a big dumpster and yells out that there is a dead body here. ETF arrives at the scene. Sakshi voices out why a dead body is always dumped in bad place. Arjun taunts her saying if the problem is of nose then the police work in not for you. Sakshi says it’s not like that Arjun; I can do any work that a police officer can do, she then walks to the dumpster to look at the body.
Body is pulled out of the dumpster and placed on the ground. They noticed the body is burned badly, including the fingers so it could not be identified. Sakshi walks away from the scene. Meanwhile Shree and Liza finds burn clothes in a small trash can. Arjun orders everything to be sent to the lab.
Sakshi stands to the side trying to control her nausea, Arjun offers her water and says it happens then walks away.

In the lab
Liza gives report on her findings about the time of death and how he died. She also gives Arjun the key found with man’s belonging. Arjun says it’s obvious the man is from not here but out of town. Rathore questions this and Arjun further explains that the key belongs to some hotel or cheap lodge. He further elaborates on initial findings about the body.

In Arjun’s office
Sakshi question how they would find where he stayed as there are many lodge in Mumbai. Arjun narrows down the area of where the man could have stayed based on the bus ticket found with the man’s belonging. Sameer asks Chotu to check the areas narrowed by Arjun.
Chotu and Sakshi at the lodge where the man had stayed, the lodge manager gives Sakshi the full information on the dead man. Manger says he didn’t see the man but one of the boys who work there saw the man. Sakshi questions the boy but he says he only saw the man go in the room and went back to sleep.
Arjun and Sameer with the dead man’s brother who has come to identify the body, no positive confirmation since the face is burn but the brother says that height seems the same as his brother. Brother further says that his brother always fought with his boss and all of them that he was a drunk and that his wife also ran away. Arjun and Rathore question the wife’s whereabouts and the brother tells them that she lives here in Mumbai with her sister and works at a supermarket.
In the conference room Chotu tells Arjun about Mandar(dead man). That Mandar had told his friend that he was going to Mumbai and will return a rich man. Arjun wonders where he would get the money because it was obvious that Mandar didn’t come for work. Chotu gets a call from someone who gives information on Mandar’s wife.

ETF at Mandar’s wife home
Arjun gets out and offers Sakshi a hand but she ignores and reaches for her crutch instead, Arjun walks away without saying anything.

Rathore introduces himself to Suvarna. They ask some general question at first but when Sakshi is about to question Suvarna, she walks away saying she will get tea. Sakshi notices Suvarna’s sister looking anxious and start questioning her casually. Sister’s name is Geet, Sakshi ask Geet about her brother in law who tells the team that the man was evil and he had tried to force her also. Suvarna calls Geet to her. Sisters talk quietly while Arjun notices couple of bottles in the corner, he goes to the window to check the view.
Suvarna comes back with the tea. Rathore asks her where Suvarna was on the night of the murder, Suvarna say she was working at the supermarket. Arjun joins everyone again. Suvarna say she was at work until 8pm and then she and Geet met for Chinese at a nearby restaurant. Arjun asks Suvarna who she thinks may have killed her husband, she says she doesn’t know. Arjun question Suvarna about the abuse and how she ran away from Nagpur. Arjun dropped drops the pen he was twirling in his hand which Suvarna picks up and hands to him, Arjun notices something.
Arjun questions Geet about her whereabouts. She said she was at the movies then met her sister at the restaurant. Shree question who she went to the movies with, Geet says her friend Shalini. ETF take their leave. Geet says her scarf is on the ground she is going to pick it up. Arjun notices something strange about Geet’s behavior.

ETF office
Shree tells them Suvarna’s alibi is confirmed but Rathore say even then they could have gone to dumping ground. Arjun asks why Rathore is sure that the murderer is the wife; Rathore says he noticed how nervous they had both been when they questioned the sisters. Shree confirms saying Suvarna’s boss also said that she seemed nervous for few days.
Rathore poses a scenario which Arjun says couldn’t have worked. He further explains that Suvarna has a right handed weakness or does not work so she couldn’t have killed her husband. Team is left thoughtful at his observation. He further explains that the murder happened in their house not at the dumping ground as he had noticed acid and phenol bottles at their house which was unusual since there were more than one bottle and it’s obvious they cleaned blood with that much amount. He wonders if the murder was committed by Geet. He says it’s possible but she couldn’t have dumped the body at the dumping ground by herself. He says they need to cross check both women’s alibis.
Chotu comes back with confirmation on Suvarna’s alibi from a reliable and confidential source. He further says she is getting treatment for her right hand. Sakshi confirms Geet’s alibi. Team is left wondering about Geet and the murder.

Arjun has a FB of the Scene at Suvarna’s home and he realizes that the landline phone was off the hook and wonders why it was. Sakshi reasons it could happen in hurry but Arjun’s what if it wasn’t done hurry but purposely so that someone at the other end of the phone could listen to the conversation. Sameer order Chotu and Shree to check the phone records of landline and both women’s cell phones also.

In Arjun’s office Shree comes in and gives Arjun the report on Suvarna’s landline. He tells them about a 30 year old man names Ameya Desai, a math teacher who was at the end of the landline.
Arjun with Ameya to question him who says he is leaving for school. Arjun offers him lift to school. Both in SUV traveling, Arjun starts a casual conversation at first. Arjun question Ameya about Suvarna and Geet, at firs Ameya pretends he doesn’t know them but when Arjun elaborates he says he know them but only casually. When Arjun questions why he had called Suvarna’s landline he says that he called Geet to let her know she had dropped her scarf on the ground. Arjun tricks Ameya in confirming that he knows the two women well.
Arjun stops in front of the School and ask about Ameya’s whereabouts on the night of the murder. Ameya compliments Arjun before leaving.

Arjun with Ameya’s boss who says that Ameya is a genius mathematician. He further says Ameya took a day off on the 20th and had cancelled the class on the 19th.
Back at ETF office Arjun, Shree and Chotu discuss Ameya and involvement in the murder. Arjun further explains why he is sure that Ameya is involved and concludes that he knows Geet very well and may be Ameya loves Geet too. Arjun theorize that Ameya may have been the man to aid Geet in getting rid of the body.

Arjun calls Liza for exact time of death of Mandar then says they have to go back to Suvarna’s home. He tells Chotu to call Rathore and tell him to meet them at Suvarna’s house.
Team at Suvarna’s home again Suvarna gets upset, Arjun says they need to check the window. They go to the window and Arjun points out where Ameya’s home is located. He then turns to question Geet. When Arjun pressures Geet, she breaks down.

Geet tells them that he came suddenly and she got scared. Arjun drops another bombshell and said the man found in the dumpster was not Mandar, because they have yet to find Mandar’s body. Mandar was killed on the 20th not the 19th.

Chotu notice Ameya trying to run away, Arjun and Chotu run after him. Ameya is caught easily by Arjun.
Back at Suvarna’s home Ameya confesses to loving Geet. FB of Ameya coming to Geet’s aid is shown. Arjun asks Geet what they did with Mandar’s body. Geet says that Ameya cut the body, put it in a bag and threw them away. Ameya says he threw the body on Mumbai/Pune highway.
It is shown how Ameya picked a homeless man, took him to the dumping ground and killed him exactly like how Mandar was killed, then damaged the man’s face to make it look like it was Mandar.
Geet and Ameya are arrested.

Chotu question who was the man that the boy saw at the lodge since Mandar was already dead. Arjun asks what you think Chotu. FB is shown where Ameya had acted as Mandar and that is who the boy had seen enter the lodge room.

At the ETF office Sakshi is about to leave and sees Arjun standing in front of her. She starts to walk past him but he stops her. He says he needed to say something to her, that he had felt guilty for past several days about her condition and says thank you. Sakshi is surprised when he snatches the crutch from her and throws it. It is revealed that Sakshi had been pretending to be injured. Arjun is angry and says you have been acting, you disgust me Sakshi Anand and walks away. Scene ends on Sakshi’s guilty face.
