Will Ekta Kapoor shut down Jodha Akbar?

Trouble knocked the doors of Balaji Telefilms’ recently launched grand historical Jodha Akbar starring Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma as the leads. The show has been going through controversies since the time it has begun even though it started well.
Some days after the telecast there started coming a ticker slogan which was added in the show saying, “All the scenes and matters shown in the show are not related to history and there is no intention to hurt any particular caste or group” but still it was not enough to keep the trouble at bay for those demanding to shut down the show.
Even as there were protests by hundreds of Rajputs from various Rajput organisations blocked the Ambala – Hisar state highway, today it was representatives of the Rajput community in the city to voice their protest. They all gathered outside the office of Balaji Telefilms’ in Mumbai demanding that the producers shut down the show immediately.
Our source says, “Few representatives from the Rajput society are opposing the content being shown in the show. According to them, there has been not a single woman belonging to the Rajput society named ‘Jodha’ in the history. The protestors also claim that the image of Rajput women is not being shown positively. The Rajput women in the show are being shown with disrespect.”
The fate of the serial is in trouble as of now adds our source, “After all this chaos, there is no peace on the sets of Jodha Akbar and producer Ekta Kapoor may even take a decision to take it off air!”
Will a strong producer as Ekta take such a crucial decision within such a short notice? Only time will tell!

To them Their ws no Rajput princess named Jodhaa bai… Ok, den protest to change d name into Heer kunwari, Harka Bai or Mariam-uz-Zamani… Lekin yei toh sach hai ki Amer ki Rajkumari ki shaadi toh hui thi naa Akbar se.. Fir aap sab kyu inta problem create kar rahe hai, bas ek Naam k liye… Watch it jst as a show, dn’t tk it personally…. July 19, 16:39Why do people get so emotional about a story that is fictional?! I mean really it is just a story it is not real and even if it was based on true facts, what is the problem with that? People fail to realise that there was actually a historical story about a King named Akbar and his wife named Jodha and it isn’t made up. Instead of researching and actually doing their homework, they start making a scene in public.
I hope Ekta doesn’t cancel this show. It is actually very good and interesting.

July 18, 14:58one best opinion for ektha mam, if protest continues please change the name of the character and serial some thing like akbar as mohamed khan and jodha as amrita etc… the main thing is we fans just want to see rajat tokas and pariti sharma together as king and queen thats all..name is not as a big thing so please if serial might go offair for that stupit protest as reason please try this idea..we fans are egerly waiting to see more expressins from rajat tokas..hey guys what ur saying??is this idea correct..any one agree with me??please

July 28, 03:53even though they might claim it to be fictional to avoid chaos but still tv and media are something which imprints our mind more than anything like books so whatever they show will leave an impression on people’s mind and carry forward of a wrong history. ekta should think twice before touching on the one of the great rulers of history and spoil his name.
and they are showing a whole lot of rubbish in the serial, if you did your homework well, you would know.
though rajat tokas and paridhi are good, especially paridhi,the serial’s presentation and camera work are awful the only attraction in the series is rajat tokas.
ueah but changing the names of serial characters or starting it in another name like in dharam veer they had all fictional kingdom and rulers would be a great idea. this way I will also be able to watch the show withouht being violated that how ekta kapoor can play with our precious history.
