Arjun 7th July 2013 Written Episode

Episode begins with a woman receiving a call from her husband saying he will be home in another hour.As he is saying sorry to her , she hears gunshots & her husband’s moans.She too screams.

ETF at the hospital visiting with Sakshi.Chotu & Shree pull her leg while Rathore looks on smiling.Arjun stands in a corner silently.

Rathore receives a call on his mobile from Aisha about a murder of a writer Sanjeev.Everyone take leave of Sakshi & move out.Arjun looks at her for some moments but still doesn’t say anything.He too follows the team out.

ETF barges into the Sanjeev’s office & is shocked.The office is completely ransacked but there is no body or blood anywhere.Sanjeev’s wife is also there & she repeats that she heard gun shots. Arjun asks her about her husband’s writing partner with whom he has been associated for 35 years.She answers that was Jayraj & he too had mistakenly called her from the landline number of his farmhouse a little while earlier than her husband.Arjun orders Shree to get hold of the recording of Sanjeev’s last call to his wife from the answering machine.

Arjun says someone was looking for something in the office & Rathore notices the airconditioning on full blast & orders it closed.Shree & Chotu are ordered to ask around for info.

Arjun listening to the writer’s call non stop since last night on his head phones.Chotu sees this & comments to Shree about it.

Both report into Arjun’s office & he asks if they checked if Jayraj was really calling from his farmhouse.Shree confirms & Arjun dismisses them both.As they are leaving Arjun asks them to check on Sakshi regularly.Both chukle among themselves.

Jayraj, the other half of the writing duo walks into ETF offices & speaks some strong words to Rathore about getting their act together & finding Sanjeev’s killer.Arjun walks in then saying they will if Jayraj lets them interview him.

In the interrogation room Jayraj tells them about his association with Sanjeev.Arjun asks some really pointed questions & Jayraj easily cracks them.

ETF in discussion. A call comes in from Jayraj saying Sanjeev’s body has been dumped at his doorstep.ET rushes to the spot.
Arjun scolds the security guard as how can someone leave a dead body right under his nose? The guard replies that he had gone up to the water tank.Arjun asks if he does this regularly & the guard says yes.

Jayraj is questioned again.He says he suspects the killing to be the handiwork of Mafia as Sanjeev’s was writing a book on them. He names one Mahesh Chawta as being the prime interest on whom the book was structured.There were others whose list was in Sanjeev’s office.

Shree & Chotu dispatched to look for it.There is lovely comic scene between Chotu & Shree.They locate the list of mafiosos on whom Sanjeev was researching.

ETF in conference room discussing. Mahesh Chawta had left the country long ago so it was hard to see why he would want Sanjeev dead.Sakshi walks in on crutches & is welcomed by all.Aisha helps her to sit.Rathore tells her there wasn’t any need to come.Sakshi says she has some info on the case.
She says the writer duo were the creators of a successful detective franchise Subodh.But they were planning on selling it.Rathore tells her they knew of it already & informs her that Jayraj said they dropped the idea.She says if they drpped the idea then why didnt they write another book.Arjun says he too is intrigued by it.He says only Meenakshi Sanjeev’s wife can answer that.All leave to question her.

As Arjun is leaving Sakshi drops her crutches & Arjun picks it up for her.He tells her not to strain her injured leg & Sakshi looks away annoyed.Chotu & Shree watch this from outside a window & laugh.

Meenakshi is interviewed at length & she gives some important information. Main among them is Jayraj-Sanjeev partnership was ending.Jayraj is there too & demands ETF stop harassing Meenakshi.He tells them to go look for some Gogi who was Sanjeev’s source for story on the underworld.

Arjun, Rathore & Chotu interview Gogi who admits to leaking mafia info to Sanjeev.Rathore orders Chotu to check on Gogi’s whereabouts on the night of the murder.Arjun is not convinced this is a mafia hit.

Arjun demonstrates to his team why Sanjeev could not have been murdered in his own office.He says the crime scene is elsewhere.

Rathore receives info that Gogi has disposed some burnt items in a trash can near Sanjeev’s office.Rathore & Chotu check it out & find the burnt manuscript of the Subodh series, the last book written by Sanjeev.
He relays this info to Arjun.

Another murder has been committed.the victim is Shivani, a divorcee who used to run a cafe on the highway.The same gun used to kill Sanjeev was used on her too.Shree says this might be an extra marital affair case.
Arjun orders her call records be scanned.

Arjun & Shree are travelling in the car.Shree says Shivani’s call data has come in.Arjun notices something on it.He informs that he has found out where exactly Sanjeev was murdered.

Arjun walks into a house & accuses the person sitting on a couch that he sold Sanjeev’s last book for 35 crores.So what was he going to do with so much money? Jayraj stands up nervously.Arjun puts all the evidence he has against him across to him & Jayraj breaks down.

Sanjeev was fabulous gifted writer but had no sense of money & business.Jayraj on the other hand wasn’t much of a writer but was a business man at heart.It was a very profitable partnership.But somewhere along the way Sanjeev felt Jayraj was living off his talent & decided to aprt ways.This would have been a disaster.Jayraj tries to convince Sanjeev to sell the Subodh franchise so he could retire comfortably but Sanjeev wouldn’t hear it.So Jayraj decides to kill him & sell the manuscript.He amiably agrees too parting of way & asks Sanjeev to come to his farmhouse for one last celebratory drink.On the way to the farmhouse Sanjeev stops at a cafe & buys chocolates for Jayraj as he had been feeling ill due to low blood sugar.
This cafe is owned by Shivani, who knows Jayraj & is his fan.They met regularly.She notices Jayraj & Sanjeev together.She even calls Jayraj saying why didnt he stop to meet her.He cuts the call saying he’ll call back.

At the farmhouse J first calls Meenakshi pretending to call her mistakenly.When Sanjeev calls her again shoots him in cold blood.

Shivani reads about the murder & puts two & two together.She tries to blackmail J into marrying her so she could have half his property.He kills her too.

Jayraj arrested.

At the ETF office Arjun notices Sakshi still working & offers to drop her home.She does not answer.He packs her files & hands her crutches & she leaves with him.She is unable to sit in the car & refuses help from him.Still he carries her & places her in the passenger seat.She thanks him & asks him to thank her for all the help she gave ETF to solve the case.He politely thanks her & starts the car.Episode ends.
