It’s a dream come true for me: Varun Toorkey
Varun Toorkey in conversation with us talks about his journey in the television industry
Varun Toorkey who is seen as Sanskrant in Uttaran on Colors says it’s a big thing for him that he bagged a show and is part of the television industry, “I am a Bombay boy born and bought up in this city, Although I never thought I would ever get into acting my debut on camera happened when I was just 16 years of age. I distinctly remember it was during my college festival when I was told to act in a music video. I promptly nodded and at the age of 16, I debuted on camera.”
That was enough for the young lad to get flooded with offers, “I was offered advertisements and then one fine day, I was called to audition for Sanskrant’s role in Uttaran. I gave the audition and within 24 hours I shot my first scene. I feel blessed seeing how my career shaped up. Although Sanskrant and Varun are poles apart, Sanskrant happens to be a blunt headed person as he is raised in a rough and tough rural background while I am more of a sophisticated and level headed person. The only similarity between him and Varun is that we both are straightforward and we don’t beat around the bush.”
Varun has gelled well with all his co-stars and is happy with his role in Uttaran,”Talking about the ambiance on the sets, I feel it’s amazing. It is very cordial and amazing the way senior actors are helpful to us. Krutika Desai is very helpful and she always helps and guides me. As of now I am happy and busy with Uttaran and I have no chances of taking any more projects in the near future” he concludes
