[V] The Buddy Project 4th July 2013 Written Episode
Panchi tries to pick between Avi and Omi but whenever she closes his eyes, she sees only food – which doesn’t help her situation. JJ tells Piddi about a gazal and he’s confused how it’s connected to KD’s case. JJ explains that even though late, KD has gathered the courage to speak his heart out to Kiya.
Piddi: humari vajah se saara eff up ho gaya na. I mean gadbad. JJ tells him to go to kicthen, get a chilled water and take a chill pill. KD will talk to Kiya again and it’s not a big deal. Piddi says it must be so easy for him being a dude. He’s always waiting for Independence day to talk to girls and other such festivals. He let’s out his fear that he thinks at times how low height guys are not entitled to share their feelings. JJ tells him to shut up as such is not right. Everyone has to face rejection. You, me, everyone. Piddi asks, “You too?” as he’s not able to believe that. JJ leaves to make coffee and then shares the story of a girl rejecting him during college. Piddi says the girl must be crazy for he can do everything. JJ says that was the problem as the girl thought falling in love was like a checklist and once he had her, he’d move on. JJ thinks she was probably right. Maybe he wouldn’t have loved her. It was just an illusion of love at best. Piddi seeks permission to ask a personal question. JJ refuses but Piddi asks anyway and thanks him for allowing him to ask . He asks if he’s truly not falling in true love. JJ replies with ‘ofcourse’ but then goes silent upon realization and adds ‘not’ to the sentence.
Ranveer and KD on the other hand are acting crazy being drunk. (Just have to watch the scene. I can’t write it down) RV says he kept Kiya away from KD even though he knew KD loved her. KD says even he was wrong to think RV was only money-minded but has realized how wrong she was. Both are accusing each other while stating they themselves were wrong, not the other person. (Both of ’em are SHOOO CUTEE!!!!) KD praises his father but the only problem is his ‘usool’. He looks at the world as B&W and doesn’t like the new things. There is no middle-lane for his father. They try to hi5 each other and a major fail. RV says KD is lucky to at least have a father he can fight with. The talk turns emotional and RV calls KD idiot for making it emotional. RV promises to do only idiotic and royal things from today on. They say if a man doesn’t feel ashamed for his actions when he wakes up in the morning, then what’s the point of drinking? *Baap re!* RV starts to propose an idea but KD says it’s great even before listening to it. He tells RV to first do it and then tell him. RV asks for KD’s phone and he dials Kiya’s number so that KD can propose her.
A sleeping Kiya answers the phone and gets shocked to hear KD’s voice. Hearing her voice, KD drops the phone as well, getting scared and nervous to talk to her. RV shifts next to KD when he refuses to talk and put the phone to his ear. Then he puts his face next to KD so he can listen in too. KD tells RV to be silent. Then he talks to Kiya and talks non-sense of them knowing each other for years and etc. etc. Kiya asks if he’s alright. Connection is disturbed so KD says he’ll call later. RV slaps his forehead. Kiya wonders and smiles. KD’s phone rings again and RV hands him the beer can. KD mistakes it to be the phone before he takes his phone.
Shub calls to ask where he is as baba is worried. KD says baba gives mixed signals. He informs KD that baba hasn’t eaten yet. RV takes over and tells him that KD will attend the college and come home tomorrow as he’s staying over tonight. They sleep.
Next morning in college canteen, they’re having a hang over and sucking on to lemon. They taunt each other and swear to never drink again. Then they discuss all the crazy things they did, such as running around the room pretending to call the police, taking the photo to washing machine and try to get it cleaned, etc. RV tells KD to go talk to Kiya and rectify his mistake and leaves. KD tells Kiya he wanted to talk to her. She asks why he had called. KD chickens out last minute.
Precap: KD tells RV ball is the best place to propose to Kiya. the police inspecter tells baba that they will raid IC. Baba tells KD to stay home and take care of Shub, as he doesn’t want KD to get stuck in the raid and locks KD in his room.
