I would love to work with Abhay Deol : Jayashree Venketaramanan
Jayashree Venketaramanan aka Nanhi of Colors show Na Bole Tum gets in a candid chat with us..
The very gorgeous and talented television actress Jayashree Venketaramanan, who is currently essaying the role of Navika aka Nanhi in Colors popular show Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2, gets candid in a conversation with us.
Let’s see what does Jayashree has to share with us..
How is Nanhi in real life?
Nanhi in real life, as Jayashree is almost the same. Just like my character, I’m very frank and bindaas. Nanhi does not tolerate things and even I don’t!
Do you think ‘Na Bole Tum’ has been a turning point in your career?
Absolutely! Well, this is not my first show. Earlier I played a main lead in Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadhunga, but comparatively now, my character Nanhi has been widely accepted and much-loved. It’s a very good experience to work with phenomenal actors like Aakanksha Singh and Kunal Karan Kapoor.
What are your interests other than acting?
Other than acting, I’m inclined towards reading books to a great extent. Recently, I finished reading ‘Till the Last Breath’ by Durjoy Dutta. There is another huge book by Shantaram which I’m trying to complete from past one year. Also, few months back, I started to learn violin but due to a packed shoot schedule I couldn’t set aside enough time for it. All I’ve learnt is how to hold a violin perfectly. I wish to learn more of it, once I find time for myself.
Craziest fan encounter.
I haven’t encountered any crazy fans so far. Those I’ve met have been sweet to me. But I remember the phase when my show track was revolving around Nanhi being very offensive and rude with her Spiderman Mohan. I guess, during that time the fans I met used to say ‘we hate you because you hate Mohan’. So, I think that was something really indifferent that I came across.
What are the challenges you are facing as an actor?
In the earlier season, Ashnoor Kaur played the character of little Nanhi and left a mark with the end of season one. So for me to dwell into the same character and win over the audiences heart was one the greatest challenge. I had to convince the audiences through my acting so as to watch the newer version of Nanhi.
Any dream of yours that you fulfilled recently?
Yes, since 2-3 years I wanted to buy a car for my parents. So finally this year I could gift them a white I-10 car. This was one of my dream that I fulfilled recently.
Any secret that your fans are unaware of?
I have no such secrets to hide. I’m very much like an open book.
Are you active on social media?
Well initially, I was quite apprehensive about being active on the social networking sites. Also, courtesy to a busy work schedule, I couldn’t manage to stay active on social networking websites. But I do get fan mails and my co-stars also get appreciation mails for me.
Do you dream for Bollywood?
Which actor wouldn’t want to step into Bollywood. Even I aspire for a Bollywood break, but right now I’m in a happy space with my show doing exceedingly well on Indian television. If given a chance, I would love to work with Abhay Deol. I just love his style of acting.
What kind of roles you intend to do in your future?
I am open to all kind of roles that interests me, especially those which are beautifully picturised.
Message for your fans.
A big thank you to everyone for watching and appreciating my work. I hope I have been successful to live up to your expectations. Just like I’ll continue working hard, I hope all you guys will maintain the love and admiration.
