The gift of blood is the most precious of all gifts. As a matter of fact, we all know that donating blood is a noble deed to help save someone’s life, but many of us actually go ahead and implement what we say.
The very charming telly town actor Karan Mehra, who is famously known for his on-screen character Naitik in Star Plus popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has succeeded in winning millions of hearts by his acting skills, professionally. But in his personal life as well, the actor is very grounded and high with humanity as he takes an initiative to donate his blood today.
In conversation with us, Karan Mehra speaks about the whole idea of donating blood, saying, “The only source who encouraged me to go for the blood donation drive is my wife Nisha Rawal. Actually she was informed about the Rotary blood donation camp in Juhu today, so she really wanted both of us to go and I agreed.”
Sharing his experience as a first time donor, Karan says, “I have never donated blood before as I really get uncomfortable at the very sight of needles but still went ahead today because I love Nisha and it was for a great cause. To be frank, even today I was a bit scared when they took 350 ml of blood, gosh! But I’m happy that Nisha pushed me for doing this and that my blood can be utilised to save lives.”
Karan, who bravely donated his blood for the first time says that he feels contented and satisfied after contributing to a humanitarian cause.
Karan also went on to say about the significance of being an aware citizen and donating blood. He says, “Definitely, it’s very important to donate blood not only because it is a great humanitarian act but also as our blood banks are running very low on it. I would request all my fans and readers to donate blood if possible. If I can do it despite being scared, so can you.”
“I hope to keep myself engaged in such noble activities in the future too!”
We make an earnest appeal to everyone to come forward and donate blood voluntarily and regularly… it may help save someone’s life!
