Last week, as announced by the supreme judges Madhuri Dixit Nene, Remo Dsouza and Karan Johar, the following weekend will witness all the contestants of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa : Dancing with the Stars moving their body on ‘Family theme’, dedicating their dance performance to their beloved family.

In conversation with one of the contestant, Siddharth Shukla, who is also seen as playing the role of Shivraj Shekhar in Colors popular show Balika Vadhu, says, “This time it’s going to be special. We’ll be seen performing on family theme.”

So hold your breath and get ready to observe the magic of family love and family bonding in the forthcoming dance performances this weekend.

We spoke to Siddharth about his much-awaited performance and the actor said, “You’ll see me performing on the song ‘Rab ka shukrana’ from the movie Jannat 2. My dance partner Sonia Jhaffer has choreographed it in a free style dance form, concentrating on my skills and flexibility. So this time it’s going to be more of a solo dance, whereby I’m given more steps to groove on.”

When asked about the feeling to dance in front of his mother, Siddharth says, “I usually don’t ask my Mom to accompany me to such events because I don’t want to disappoint or embarrass her if I’m not able to give my best. But being a family theme, I wanted to dedicate my performance to her.”

Did she like it?

“She just loved it. She was very happy to see my performing. It was not an emotional moment for us because we live together and see each other every day. Moreover, I am very expressive with my vocals, so I convey my gesture of love to her by saying ‘I love you Mom’, quite frequently.”

“To my surprise, the judges were touched with our performance. And after all it’s a journey that I’m enjoying by learning new dance forms and improving my skills.’
