Mumbai has helped me to grow as a person and an actress – Reshmi Ghosh
Reshmi Ghosh may be playing the evil supernatural being Goolika in Life OK’s Savitri but in real life she doesn’t believe in the supernatural. She explains, “As I haven’t had any supernatural experience, I do not believe in it. I like supernatural fiction though.”
A USP about the character she plays is that her makeup is elaborate and intricate and her costume is grand. Initially she would take seven hours to do her makeup. Nowadays she can put on her makeup within two or three hours. She informs us that her fans loves her makeup especially her eye makeup.
When asked about her equation with Krip Suri who plays her brother Rahukaal in the show, she says, “I have worked with him before in Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah. He was a beginner then and has gone on to have a great career growth. He is now a professional actor.”
The actress seems to have fallen in love with Mumbai which she avers has changed her from a demure girl to a confident and versatile actress. Being crowned as Miss India Earth in 2002 was just the starting point. She gushes, “I love the breath and pace of Mumbai city. This city has so helped me to grow as a person and an actress. I can talk to you so confidently now just because of my stay in this city.”
Looking into the future, the actress says that she would like to do positive roles too. “I usually play grey or bold roles on TV. Fans like to see me in negative roles. I am a nice girl in real life. I would like my positive attributes to come across to the viewers through a positive role.”
We hope to see you in a positive avatar on TV soon. Keep watching this space for updates on the show.
