Ankita Lokhande back in Pavitra Rishta as Archana?
We have just learnt that the face of Pavitra Rishta, Ankita Lokhande, after much speculation on her probable exit from the show, is back playing Archana.
Yes, you guys must be wondering what in the world is going on? So sit back and let us explain in details.
Ankita, as we all know gained immense popularity playing Archana in the above show. However, with the plot opting for a leap and the actress apparently needing time off to rejuvenate from the otherwise mundane scheme of things, decided to take a break. Her character went into coma.
Since then, there have been speculations that Ankita has thrown in the towel and is history in Pavitra Rishta. But she never confirmed the same.
But industry insiders and sources from the production house actually held the opinion that Ankita will never return to the soap.
Hence, started the hunt to replace her. First came the name of Shilpa Saklani. She almost got a green signal but later, due to some last minute changes Gautami Kapoor, wife of Ram Kapoor and of course, a fabulous actress herself, was signed on to play Archana.
Media even published pictures of Gautami with Hiten Tejwani (who plays Manav, the male lead) from the sets of Pavitra.
But hear what another source has to say, “Yes, the channel and the production house were looking for replacements. But the fact remained that they always wanted Ankita back as she was, is and will always be the face of the show. So before finally going ahead with Gautami, Ankita was buzzed for the last time and she agreed. So now, she is in and Gautami is out.”
We have learnt that Ankita starts shooting in the next three to four days.
We tried reaching Ankita but she remained unavailable. We also buzzed a channel personnel but did not get any revert.
We will get more info on the development. For now, happy days ahead for all the fans of Ankita Lokhande!!!

May 18, 14:00This is good news as Ankita is a good actress and has played the role of Archana very well. However, I hope she rethinks her dressing when she does come back.
Archana as always been synonymous with respect and decorum however she dressed as Ankita and not Archana prior to her going on her break. Her daughter bought her an outfit which gradually changed to jeans and shorter kurtas. This is by no means bad but does not suit the character Archana’s image and age.
I say this with all due respect to the actress and her fans and do not intend ruffling any feathers.

but ekta proved her that PR can run without her by almost getting replacement.. see how quickly that made Ankita change her decision
These actors/actresses think they can get success in other shows, but nope. That rarely happens, especially when they leave shows in middle
